The hps is what goes into the cooltube, the cooltube isn't a light itself

I might buy a simple 125W CFL bulb and wire it up to a normal bedside table lamp, take the shit off the lamp and hang it upside down with homemade reflectors down onto the plants good idea or am i a retard who needs to fuck off? lol

If you can buy bulk 6 packs of 23 - 26 watt cfls...a 6 pack in cool and maybe two six packs of warm...I guarantee better results than if you bought two 125 watt cfls. AND...it'll probably cost less too.

How much would you estimate that to cost? Im going to have to get some serious dollar i think then splash about £150 on this hobby... however, il grow say 1 plant for personial use and the rest for the streets? should make me some cash on the side thanks once again tom, u saved my plants life

But he would need 12 light sockets, wire, plugs, hang and adjust 12 bulbs...

You're way better off if you can find a store that carries 42w actual normal cfl's or something bigger like that than the 20some watt ones actually. At least that way it's half the number of sockets and half everything else.

And on the subject of making money op you'll never make money growing on this scale with cfl's it just won't happen. You'll grow your own and save money that way but god, don't ever get the idea you'll have enough to actually make money on it will only leave you anxious for months with a big let down after it finally dries and shrivels up and brings you back to reality.

Hey guys, i kinda just left the seeds for afew days and by the time i got back they had all germinated
I managed to get hold on an old barn cooling system and have been ripping it apart so its down to the fan, reflective cooling tubes and the outside vent...

This should make one hell of a grow system now im going to order a 125W CFL or maybe a 200-600W HPS sometime soon

I heard those big CFL's do a good job of vegging. Cool and efficient. The HPS systems though, they are really great for flowering.

sup mate, i think im going to grow in a small box in the corner of a room...
i was thinking i could get a 150W HPS and just go from there rly, duel spectrum HPS and beam that baby down onto the plants

il post some pics once i have seedlings, i chucked my old plants coz i was being a complete twat and was trying to grow under normal lamp untill HPS has arrived...
