My First Harvest

Unknown Bagseed, in Scott's Potting Soil - vegged 8 weeks under 324w CFL (actual), flowered 7.5 weeks under 400w HPS.

Finally - my first plant made it to harvest! I know it isn't a lot - but man, she made it alive, I got some, I grew it myself!:mrgreen: There was a lot more trim than I expected - but then, she had a lot of little tiny popcorn buds down all her stems. Keeping the stems too, gonna chop 'em up and try for butter. Waste not want not!

Anywho - I am sooooo very glad I harvested her today, there was one pollen sack, buried halfway into a bud - and he was ripe, boy as soon as I cut it out it poofed pollen at me. Glad he didn't open in my flowering room.
Interesting to note - from everything I've read here, I really expected my bud to smell like lawn clippings, or hay, at the very least. But it didn't - it smelled like grapefruit! I mean the cut stems, leaves, scissors, my hands - everything smelled like I spent a day fingering grapefruit peels. Wierd, huh? It was a pleasant suprise though.

All this time I've managed to not molest the plant, but damn, the temptation is now the strongest it's been.
Now, if I can only keep myself from trying to quick dry a small bud...bongsmilie:mrgreen:

Dont fret it, you got much better coming.
Atleast ya made it to the finish line.

Also what would wet weight matter?

If you can't sell or donate it then it doesn't matter, unless you like to brag and lie.

Even if you hash the scrap, it won't count until the hash is dun.:weed:

That's what I was thinking - hell I had problems from the word go with this lady, almost killed her a few times, all her leaves (except the bud leaves) died and fell off, and her buds stopped growing a few weeks back - so I'm happy to have gotten anything from my first gal. Hell I'm suprised she lived until harvest time.:leaf:

thought maybe it would give some kind of indication of what kind of a farmer he is.....pay attention to the details get good harvest........but i wouldnt want neone to brag or lie in a growing forum. do people always react like this to compliment and question??

Glad you made it through the first grow! That is exactly what I am trying to do just make it to the finish line! Looking forward to that trainwreck you have going.....

it looks awesome! im growing for my first time hopefully mary jane will treat me right give me huge buds cause i know im treatin her right! but good job toke one for me!
