I didn't hurl insults. You should revisit the posts.
And beliefs don't get equal play just because you say so.
Members of NAMBLA believe that it's totally natural for men to have sex with young boys.
Members of various religions believe it's perfectly okay to kill someone for adultery, including monogamous premarital sex.
If someone believes that a trait specific to you - eye color, handedness, sexual orientation - is wrong because "gods" or scripture says so, do you still hold their beliefs sacred?
The statement I addressed was "truthfully explain the unexplainable".
Anyone claiming to be able to explain something "unexplainable" is lying. If they were capable of providing a truthful explanation it would not be
unexplainable.
Some things may currently defy explanation, but that does not make them unexplainable. Substituting acknowledgment of deficiency with falsehoods, such as those used by many faiths, does nothing to improve the actual comprehension but instead fills gaps where knowledge would otherwise reside.
I believe the message of the thread was to accept others for their belifs, whatever they may be.
Not to hurl insults at everyone who doesnt agree with you/ Would you rather only be in company of people who are just like you? And do what they do when they do it and exactly how they do it? No, I dont think so.
