Need Professional Advice

Hello All,

Ok well, I'm having a problem with the top leaves being yellow. I had to leave town for 10 days and had someone correct PH daily to 5.5

I switched over to 12/12 the day before I left. I didn't want to start the nutes cause I wasn't going to be around to fix anything if need be, and the person that took care of the PH knew only what i instructed them. So, I cleaned tubs and added 5.5 H2O.

When I got back, I added nutes @ 400ppm. Next day or so, top leaves became pale yellow, so I drained half the tub and lowered nutes to 232ppm. Now, water level has been going down and so has ppm which is good cause they are eating. PH has been fluctuating between 5.5 - 6.7 between adjustments. Tub water level is 10 gallons and there are 28 girls feeding from it. Leaves still a bit yellow and there is purple stems and veins that have been getting worse.

Single leaf closeup is from 3rd node down.

Room temp: 75
Water temp:75
PH: 5.5 - 6.7
Lights: 600w HPS
Light hight: 8 inches from canopy1, 15 inches from canopy2
Nutes: Only Grow by Technaflora.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You in Advance!

The top leafs may be yellowing because of the proximity to lights and they are getting to hot. See if you can raise the lights about 6-12" and the color should return.

I had the lights higher but it caused stretching, 3/4 - 1 inch between nodes. air is sucked out and hand over canopy not hot at all.

Im no expert, but it looks like a sulfur deficiency. Sulfur gets locked out at 5.5 and below, and with your reservoir being ph'd to 5.5 makes me leans towards it.

Add 1-2 teaspoons of Esom Salt per gallon of water till it improves.

In the future, I would post in the Marijuana Plant problems thread. You'll get better info there.

Heres a good thread to help you figure out deficiencies in the future should the need arise.

BTW, your problem is not with high heat.

Thanks DaveCoulier, and I am going to shoot for 5.8 for now on. :)

Also, your water temps of 75 is a tad to to high, shoot for 70 or below for max dissolved oxygen.

Nice grow my friend. How quick are your grow cycles? To qwazwers- I also use Super Bloom :D Im burning a plant atm with the lights being too close and it stays nice and green still, except for the crispy leaves that are already burned.

Pardon my ignorance, but what do you mean by how quick is my grow cycles? And thanks for the compliment. :)
