when do i flower?

Hey im a first time grower and im using CFLs i belive you guys call them for budget reasons. I always see all these pics of big plants so i was waiting for that b4 i started 12/12 but now i read something about flowering at 4 weeks? think my plants are about 8 weeks old ones about 18 inches high the other maybe 12 should i flower? also what is this yellow and brown showing up in my lower leafs?:confused: Thanks for the help... oh and how long after flowering will i be able to harvest? dont know if this matters but the strain is white widow

I think White Widow flowers in 8 or 9 weeks. You can switch it whenever you like - biggest factor is your vertical space, they will stretch to twice or even three times their height, once in flowering. You need more light though - both for vegging and flowering. You want a minimum of 3000 lumens per square foot, with 5000 lumens per square foot recommended. That's why your plants are so small still - not enough light, by far. I use CFL's also, but use 4 27w per plant - here's one of mine at five weeks. More light makes a big difference.:peace:

Doe eyed is right, your plants aren't really vegged after 8 weeks, not enough light. Up the light for a couple weeks and you should get some better foliage, then flower them.

if i up the light for a couple of weeks then those lil ones in the middle should be ready for transplant could i start to flower them all at the same time? new ones are only 2 days old

Everybody has gave good advice.I would also use super thrive too.It is easy to find,Wal mart carries it.If you live in a place that gets cold in the winter it might not be stocked at the moment though.

live in alaska lol dont think it gets much colder than that ill ask at the plant shop though the one i buy my stuff at all they do is cater to people like me even got a head shop in the back lol. im using a walk in closet pretty big maybe 8x5 and and im 6.2 and cant touch the ceiling but where i hang my lights from is probably 5.5 ft tall. so do i have the room?
