How ofter do I run my inline fan carbon filter combo? I just got my setup off ebay and have seeds germinating.. I don't know how ofter to fun the fan carbon filter combo, I have another box fan in the side vent, it doesn't get warmer than 79.9 in there. Under 400 MH.. When I run the filter and fan combo I usually run it 15 mintues at a time to "refresh" the air.. I could put this on a timer I suppose but I don't know how ofter and for how long. Any suggestions?

I doubt you'll need to use the filter for several weeks--no sense in wearing it out --maybe just use reg exhaust until your girls start smellin

Once they really start smelling--you'll probably want to run it most, if not all, of the day, turning it off for co2 enrichment if you use it

For really effective odor control you want to exchange the air every 1-3, maybe 1-5 min------and for just reg exhaust, a good exchange would be about every ten min

So use the cfm of your fan (keeping in mind that filter reduces cfm some) and the size of your space to determine how often you should run it

Are you using an Aircooled reflector? If so, then once again just leave that shit running all the time. A good filter has a life of about a year give or take, and by the time that year is up, if you keep on growing anyway, you'll definitely be ready to upgrade by then, so dont sweat it

thanks dude i was wondering all that too! and no im not using co2 or an air cooled reflecter. im doin dwc 400w flower, flouro weg i wanna do mh but its to much heat for my space(closet). thanks again man and best of lucks with all your grows

also (sorry if im asking to much) since im only using my fan for odor and exhaust i dont really need to duct it right? and do you know where i can buy active carbon for the fiter?

you can just simply buy an activated carbon fliter.
just check out home depot or lowes or somethin
i got a fairly large one from home depot and its excellent! not really expensive and definetely worth it i think.
itll be by washers/dryers, air purifiers,etc.
