400 w Hps light super hotttt!!

how so last nyte was my da first time the 400 w sunmaster light came on and i have to tell u it got extremely hot in the closet it went from 80 to almost 100 and i was looking at cool tubes but they cost too much and making one seems like it will be impossible and cuz of the location of where the plants are an inline fan is not even an option so is there anyway i can get a slip on cool tube or something to cool
down the light cuz it gets way too hot anything at walmart i can pick up like a portable ac or something that can at least cool it at least 15 degrees less then what it gets

Hmm, inline fan isn't an option? Even outside of the closet? How were you going to use a cooltube without a fan?

Another option is to get a CO2 tank setup if you can't lower the temperature.

or put in intake/exhaust holes w/ an oscillating fan.

i would think a cooltube and inline fan would be way cheaper than a portable ac in the long run..

id say fuck it and just cut a hole in the door and put a fan in there

They make small inline fan at htg for under 35$ that would pull the heat off your light if you had a reflecter and glass

hell yah, I am getting cool tube soon which I can pick up for 60 bucks, if your paying 35-70 for a bulb i dont see 60 for the cool tube as being that much. Currently I am just hanging a fan just behind the light so it keeps the heat from building up in the closet itself. I am able to leave the doors open all day but it sounds like this is not an option for you. I dont see anyway of cooling enough without getting the cool tube to isolate most of the heat and get the air out of the closet
