my blueberry hermi on me found seeds today. Not suprised dutch passion BB fem has been known hermi along with the heat and ph problems.

I'll say 55 oz's oh and i would like the lemon haze LOL

that sucks about the hermie, Blue... for whatever reason BB has always been a somewhat unstable strain.. i am hoping that the blueberry/skunk cross im going to get is a little more stable.. there is also a blue berry/m. tundra cross i think i might try...


so to make this a little more fair you must say a final ounce guess....

that will just make it a little more specific i guess... at least i think so...

the winner will get a gift, their choice.... happy guessing...

Those are some dense spears....im going to say my official guess is 56oz...My first guess i just wanted to set a good line for guessing to start.

well for yaw that didnt know anythign about this . i started out in soil then transplanted to dwc, but it wouldnt grow so then i went back to soil after no growth in a week and then that set me back, but the plant is a mutant its growing 2 secondary nodes in 1 place on a couple parts of the plant also the leaves grew like this (blades) 1,3,4,5,7,8,6,3 which is weird but the plant is 1 month old and going on its second week of flowering and remember its a week behind schedule due to the dwc.

I probably depends on when you weigh it. If you dry it for about 8 days, then trim it . . . you'll probably weigh it on the 10th day.

well again guys, i thank you all for the kind words.. and for hanging out throughout the grow... its definitely been a huge experience for me...


so the final guesses are in.. technically you have until a week from this up coming monday to change your guesses... and i may even post a wet weight and give you guys a chance to change your guess if you want.. the nice thing is that all the guess are well within what i am hoping for... at least 2 1/2 or more..

ill tell you this week is creeping by slowly.. absolutely killing me.. there isnt anything for me to do except try to waste time... i have noticed that the 2 hours of extra dark is pushing a great swell than (i think) if i left it on for 12/12.. plus i am saving 2 hours worth of elec a day which helps...

the buds themselves are fucking rock hard... almost no give at all... i am really happy about that.. the last grow the buds were nice and tight, but nothing like this one... i just cant wait.. i'll make sure to take plenty of harvest pics...

a lot of branches are starting to fall/bend from bud weight... i mean thick ass branches i didnt think i would have to worry about at all... if it wasnt so close to harvest time i would tie them up.. but with it only being a few days away i am going to hope they dont snap between now and then...

anyways... hopefully the week passes quickly... cant wait until monday morning.. ill be like a kid of christmas morning...

Can you explain your plan of attack? What equipment do you lay out beforehand? Do you chop it at the base and hang it whole for a couple days? Do you tie a ribbon on the branch to label the strain? Lop off all the water leaves? Please explain a bit. 3lbs is a LOT to deal with and most people don't think that far ahead. How many days do you allow for each step (pre-trim, trim, cure) and when will everything be finished? Do you put everything in glass mason jars or do you vacuum bag it?

alright.. so here is pretty much how monday will go.. basically my ritual...

after i wake up and let me dogs out and all that shit ill start gathering my supplies...

this includes;

2 pairs of trimming shears
1 set of very small finger nail scissors
large lid to a plastic tote to trim over
large box to put trimmed branches in for transport to drying room
a bong with fresh ice water
a half ounce or so of some pre-ground weed for ease when packing
some sort of pre selected movie channel for back ground noise
a large jug of water for drinking


once all these things are gathered and in order i will begin the actual harvest..

ill pull one plant from the grow room and take it to the living room where i trim..

i begin by removing all the remaining large fan leaves from the plant... these i throw into a garbage pile.. you can save them for honey oil if you want... but it takes a LOT so usually its not worth it...

after the fan leaves are removed i start trimming.. i do 1 branch at a time..

i remove it from the plant, hold it from the bottom and trim upwards... its easier to get to the small fan leaves in the buds from underneath... i twist the branch in my hand as i trim the buds, instead of turning my hands and keeping the branch still.. this way i can gradually work inwards and get a good trim the first time.. i dont like having to trim 2 times... all of these are the trimmings i save.. so i cut them over the plastic tote lid.. you can use anything you want.. a glass top would be ideal, as long as its clean... you can remove a lot of the trichs off of it because the glass is so smooth...

during all the trimming various bong hits and swigs of water take place...

once the trimmers get gummed up from resin its break time.. i roll all the resin from the trimmers and my fingers into a nice ball of finger hash... sometimes i smoke it right then.. sometimes i save it until the end.. just depends on what i am smoking...

after i get a plant done i take them to the drying room.. which is usually the same room i grow it... since it takes me about a week to turn things over.. well it used to.. but after this grow things will be a lot faster.. anyways... i run a line between the chains on my lights using mason string.. i just like it because its strong... i then take each branch and hook them onto the string.. usually just by putting the string in between a bud and the stalk.. so it just hangs there... i keep 1 strain per line.. and harvest in an order i am sure to remember... plus the buds themselves have differences... so that helps to keep things divided..

i make sure to keep a fan going in the drying room to help remove moisture that is evaporated.. and my exhaust fan as well... i usually let them dry 4 to 5 days and then sure them for 3 to 4 days.. of course that is for my commercial... anything for me is dried a couple days longer and cured a little longer as well... to bring out the maximum potential of it...

curing is done in mason jars, about 1/2 to 3/4s of the way full.. enough to make good use of the jars, but also enough to let the buds breath... burping of the jars is dont 3 to 4 times a day for a couple minutes at a time.. oh.. and they are dried and cured in the dark.. or kept in the dark as much as possible

that is about how it will go...

well my friend, i am far from cali... out in the midwest... where the corn crops grow.. and the soy beans are everywhere... yep.. good old IN.... but if you wanna make a trip i could use the help!! it'll make for a long day solo trimming.. gotta do it tho..

nope, i dont have the next crop up and ready.. basically, this grow was a trial run.. to get used to the hydro system, and try out a few strains.. i wanted to see which strains grew best suited for the grow i have... basically it breaks down like this...

i will have 2 rooms - veg and flower

in the flower room i will also keep my clones when i get there....

i'll start out the next grow with all new seeds in the current room... 12 fem'd seeds.. i am going with super lemon haze, m. tundra, and a blueberry skunk... these will be vegged for 8 weeks under 2500ws...

during those 8 weeks i will setup the new 4000w flower room and the new hydro system.. it will almost be a mirror image of the current room, except 4 x 1000w hps lamps instead of the floros... in the flower room i am going to try to set up about 30 sites.. the hydro system can take up to 48 sites, but i dont think i will have room enough to do that many... the reason i will set up so many in the flower room, and only have 12 girls vegging is i plan on filling all the sites in with auto flowers to have an 8 week bumper crop while the girls are vegging..

once i am a week out from flipping the 12 vegged ladies to flower, i will take my cuttings and root so they are ready to go into veg almost as soon as the "mothers" go to flower... i'll then fill in all the extra space in the flower room, again, with autos, and begin flowering those...

i also plan, down the line, to pick up a large coliseum and do a big straight to 12/12 clone grow... i can easily take enough clones from the 12 ladies to fill the room and a 150 site coliseum.. so i figure why not.. but the reason i dont have that is the same reason i dont have seeds germinating now... im broke... i have to wait until after harvest to get the money to afford all this... i figure ill have about 5k in equipment and another 1k in seeds.... yeah.... i know how to make it and spend it.. lol

the autos i plan on getting are ak48's from sagamartha seeds... in case anyone was wondering..

I don't think 1k is excessive for seeds...esspecialy if your going to get a bunch of auto-flowers. Spending 6k to upgrade an already sweet grow...Another reason to not have a live in girlfriend. I have patients whos grows have been submarined by the costs of equipment.

They dont have a clue about cost or expense. They will learn.

Im going to switch to 2 flowering rooms and a small cloning closet. Then im going to stager the harvests. So now im going with conversion 1000 watt MH/HPS. Monday im going to order one...I havent decided what my total number of patients im going to take is...So I will just move forward slowly.

the thing about the seeds that is going to suck is i dont want to breed my own... so i want all fem'd... so if i keep autos as a staple i will be spending a lot fairly often... but i am not worried about it.. profit far out weighs cost... then i just pay the extra for the t shirt or whatever and pay for the garaunteed shipping and i should be good...

the cost isnt bad... i figure with the flower room setup and the coliseum setup i will have around 10k more in "stuff"... but it should be worth it.. once i have everything up and running i will asses photoperiods.. i want to run 24/0 in veg.. but i think i will have to go with 18/6.. which is fine... or maybe 20/4... and of course 12/12... and the coliseum would be 12/12... plus all the pumps and shit... just gotta see where i am at when i get there and adjust accordingly...

sounds like your heading in the right direction.. the nice thing about this type of hobby is that you can add when you want.. there is little rush.. and every addition is more than paid for in the end in harvest weight... its a good idea to start out slow and see what you can do.. its better to be able to add on your own time then be forced to expand your setup because you took on too much and are running out before your ready with the next..

so as i said i started flushing... i have some shit called florakleen i am using... it should strip the plants of any nute salts that they have in them... plus it should clean out the system pretty well...

i am leaving them in dark until saturday.. hopefully this will increase the amount of swell they do over the next 36/48 hours plus encourage some extra trich production....

i am getting up early saturday morning and starting the trimming.. cartoons and trimming all saturday morning..
