400w White Rhino, S.A.G.E. and Silver Haze Perpetual Harvest

This will serve as a journal for a perpetual harvest. There have been 3 harvests since January with decent results but I would like to improve my yields and quality. I have battled some mold issues as well as a small case of spider mites that I believe I have handled. I guess time will tell.

The first picture is of of my flowering tent right now. In it is my old mother (big and on the left) whom is about 5 weeks into flowering and 3 smaller girls who are about 3 weeks in. They are all White Rhino in the tent right now.

I have the two other strains growing right now and will move into the tent as room allows. They are in a small veg area and aren't big right now. It will be a bit before they are ready.

The white rhino clones very easily in my experience, and I have had no trouble replicating using clone x root gel and pretty much any medium as long as they are kept warm and moist.

I look forward to contributing what I have learned and learning from the many mistakes others have already made.

Let me the first to say very nice!!!

Thanks man. I am still learning as I go quite a bit, but have been pretty happy with my results so far. Just looking to hit that next level.

Let me also add:

I found this site trying to diagnose a problem with my leaves. I believe it was a cal mag problem brought on by my water with a very high PH. I have started using RO store bought water and adding in a cal/mag supplement at 5ml per gallon.

In picture 3, did you trim the leaves or did they fall off?

in both of those pictures they were main colas that I had trimmed the fan leaves off of after bad yellowing.

I think this is all due to my PH. I am just taking actions against it now.

Thanks dude

Here are some pictures of the dried goods from previous crops. All white rhino.

The first two are already dried. The third is a picture of a fresh cut bud from my last harvest. I think I took them too soon even though they were 10 weeks in. I've got a scope on the way so that won't happen again.

I appreciate the feedback.

You should never cut any leaves off while it is growing. Leaves are the engines to your plant. It doesnt matter if they are yellow they are still feeding your plant. Just a lil tip I picked up. Hope it helps.

I was told if it's half dead cut it off.

what about leaves that are turning brown? Should i leave those as well?

I have a bad habit of picking at a plant..instead of leaving it be. I always thought once the green was gone the leaf was useless.

See how yellow the top leaves were getting..even that purple in some sense. I think this was all due to my PH of my water being way off. I am taking steps to correct this.

First off great plants,, and to the above quote. Yeah technically your right but it's not gonna be a big deal if you cut leaves off to either get rid of yellow ones or to make light penetrate down to smaller buds.

thanks TheHaze

I would only remove leaves that were really yellow.
I'll keep updating. The very first pic in this post is of my current garden.

I hate it when you type a bunch of shit then your comp fucks up....Like I wrote earlier and it dissapered...Like haze said, if you are removing a couple to let light to lower buds thats cool. I only remove dead leaves, the ones that fall off when you touch them. But your plants look like mine did when I flushed them for a super long time. I thought she was done but she had other plans. One other thing, do you have a PPM meter? Could be a over fertilization problem. Some of your leaves look like mine did before I got a PPM meter.

I know I have nutrient issues. My water has been a very high PH. I am no longer using my tap water and will use bottled drinking water with a cal/mag supplement.

I am pretty sure that at least the root of my problem starts with the PH of the water I was using. it was at least 9.0. I don't doubt I have some other issues, but I am going to address the ph first and go from there. I will have some more pics later tonight. Thanks for the input

I don't think my plant is done by any means. They have another 5 weeks to go. They are beat up looking on the bottom, but other than that and the tips of the leaves yellowing I know I will get at least 3 or 4 ozs from her. I also know that if I do everything right, I could probably get 6. That's the goal.

Hey just curious, how long do your clones take to root in soil?

That's actually the second stage for the clones.

I let them root in a small groton cube. I keep them in a dome and keep them humid, it usually takes 10-14 days to show roots. From there I put them into the small containers you see below. Then into a 1 gallon into my veg area...and finally into a 3 gallon a week or two before they go into the tent for flowering.

In the picture that prompted your question those plants are just starting to take off now. I expect them to start moving fast.

I've had good luck with clones. The rhino roots very easily. Other strains are more sensitive, at least in my hands. I lost some Kush and Strawberry cough clones a month ago...

That is very similar to my cloning method. After two weeks in the dome I transfer them to larger rockwool cubes. Then they normal take off about another week or two after that.

How long/tall do you vegg?
