Is it necessary to run your exhaust fan all the time? If the lights are off, can the fan be off as well?
Where do you get this information from??? Thats's dead wrong. Your saying the plants are exchanging C02 and o2 more during the night cycle? And if that's the case (which it's not) then why would you tell someone to have their fans on LESS then in light hours? Its recommended to exchange the air in your growspace ever 1-2 hours even while the lights are off. During the sleep cycle of plants is when their stomata are the most active exchanging Co2 and oxygen. I run for 15 minutes every 2 hours while the lights are off, but my space isn't that full at the moment. If your growspace is crammed full of plants I'd exchange air every hour.
Careful with heaters, but sometimes just leaving the door open a crack is enough. However, fresh air is always good.if i opend my window a little through the night and put in a little heater to keep it warm
would that work for air!
you're both right, in a way. The stomata will exchange o2 from co2, but at night plants don't photosynthesize, they respire. So during the day your plants use co2 and convert it to o2, and at night they take in o2 and release co2. I would explain further but I was sleepin during that part of biol 152Where do you get this information from??? Thats's dead wrong. The process of photosynthesis, is what creates O2 from C02. The more intence the light the better the plants ability to convert c02 to the point where you can ADD C02 to the room for accelorated growth.
NO ONE adds their C02 at night, because there is no photosynthesis to convert it and it would be a complete waste.
Yea go with what this guy said. He's right about that. And how come you want your fans off anyways?you're both right, in a way. Either way, it is best to have air exchange 24 hours. Plants, like you, require gas exchange to be healthy whether they are sleeping or not.
In case you don't believe me, it also says so at the bottom of this page:

Main point: Yes run your fans at night!
Thanks for agreeing with me, but I'm a laaadyYea go with what this guy said. He's right about that. And how come you want your fans off anyways?
Oops then i then it back your wrong. LOLThanks for agreeing with me, but I'm a laaady
Thats ok i'll find a new girl soon that will.Growing is awesome! I'm not good at it yet but I love it. It's too bad your girl can't/won't partake in the fruits of your labor tho.
