$4000 dollars what would you do........

I'd go with Heath Robinsons flooded tube vertical grow setup and do 80+ plants at a time...then use the extra cash to buy a few asian kids to come and wire up some led lights and do all my gruntwork. I'd probably still have a few grand left over...if I remember right, the pieces for the flooded tube setup run about 1k USD and they practically give asian kids away in cereal boxes these days. Not sure what I'd do with the rest.

Seeing as cocaine is a erythroxylum (coca) bush derivative itself, I imagine you could technically make "hydro-coke" if you grew the bushes that way. Probably some water that goes into the processing itself as well...can't say I've ever had the pleasure of growing the bushes or attempting to refine such things. Could be fun though...probably quite profitable as well.

You could but growing the coca plant is the easy part.... than comes the chemistry.

Good and funny post im enjoying this.:bigjoint:

What space do you have to grow in? 24 plants can fit in a closet or fill an entire home.If you can bargain shop for used stuff and buy in bulk lots like ebay/craigslist you could outfit a 10kw grow easily enough. Hell you could just buy someone's entire setup. Every month I see a couple good complete setups like that on craiglist and with 10k you can yield 20lbs if you really get serious about it. Do you have a max plant limit where you are or a square footage canopy limit or weight limit or what?Don't forget the hundreds per month on electric to run all the lights etc and to buy all the ferts and other chemicals you'll need plus pest control etc.I lean towards RDWC but then I grow trees, you may want a SOG or VSOG though using aero or ebb and flow.

Its going to have to be controlled between 24-30 plant and 3000 watts. Its residential and im not ready to risk the heat and ext ream growing conditions.

I will have a whole house project here in the next year.......

Im going to be leaning towards the multi buckets system which i think is a ebb and flow system.

For that many plants i would love to know a good fert kit that would be perfect. Would you think a R/O is a good idea or could i just go sink here in Socal.

Money is in a budget in the 5k max level.

This is for medical vendor and car giving purposes and the genetics are going to be some of California primest genetics.:leaf:

A 3kw grow doesn't need to cost $4k, or even $1k, but you can get every toy you'd ever need and do it up right for sure.

24-30 plants and 3kw limit... Hmmm... Three 1kw vertical setups with 10 plants ea on a perpetual schedule with ea vert setup a month apart or so.

If you can only run 3kw you could do 6kw total with only 3 on at a time if you want to yield even more. (12/12)

Regardless of your strain, I would buy:

2 1000w HPS lights(6" air cooled hoods or cool tubes)
2 8" vortec or equivalent fans
3 inline/pancake fans
2 light movers,
6 light yo yos
2 4x8 tables(white)
2 40 gallon resevoirs
2 water pumps(cheap is fine)
100 feet of panda film
a 100$ rodi off of ebay
a 160$ ph/ed/tds/ppm meter Hannah etc.
around 700 worth of nutrients and around 500$ worth of clones
also a t5 8 lamp 4 foot for sumplemental or cloning.
a few timers,
a big grey box timer
some 220 plugs and circuit breaker
some 110 exstension chords
and of course a mobile (soleus 12000 to 14000 btu) portable a/c, heater, humidifier
a couple of zipper kits and two or three roles of duct tape.

Chears!

PS you will find you need nearly endless little things, clamps, nets, plant yo yos, serenade ifyou get bugs/mold etc. Some ducting etc. Thats part of figuring out your room!

Mind you, if you bargain and don't buy everything brand new you can get away withalot. But peroxide anything old that will come in direct contact with plants.

As far as ease of setups, you are not going to beat the table setup(unless you go with soil, even cheaper and easier).

Don't forget at least a cheap GH Ph kit(up and down). . . a themometer/hydrometer(19$ HOME DEPOT). . . this setup, will make you tons of Ganja, at pennies on the dollar of many other setups. Moving lights equal 2 or 3 lights each when wetup correct. Remember, your a/c may cost you more and pull more wattage than your lights!

All you need to do with a table setup, is establish your nutrient routine, and how often and for how long you water. Every 3 to 6 hours for 15 minutes is more than enough.

Thoughts. . . questions?

Well Id take that $4000 and buy the fastest car I could and drive it off the nearest cliff so I wouldnt have to read any more stupid post lololololol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With your luck, you'd probably buy a lemon and it would't make it to the end of the cliff. How about I just donate 3 dollars to you so you can get a bundle of bamboo plants stakes and you shove them through your eye socket. :wall:

Take a look at my journal when you get a chance - I believe that's about what you're looking for (all the toys imaginable, save for a pH/PPM monitor for my rez- that's next ).

I'm a little over your $5K limit, but I'm a wasteful spender and have changed my mind a few times - if I was starting over right now, could easily keep it under $5K, even with adding another 1000HPS (or two) to it.

EDIT: just so there's no confusion, I'm not talking about a digital pH pen or TDS monitor - have both of those. I'm talking about the jibber jabber that automatically makes all the adjustments to your rez without you having to do anything - they're a few grand, from what I've seen.

Wow im really liking the ideas. I will def check your grow out bob. By the way that water controlling thing your talkiing about sounds amazing lol.

Thanks for all the info. And i think in going to be only doing one room rather than flower and veg at the same time at least for now.

Im getting a lot of info thanks everyone!

Bad idea - shelling out that kind of money, you need to have a veg and flower room.

Just need to - if you wanna do it all in one room and need to separate the two, just get a tent (or two).

Dont waster ur money buying 1000 watt-ers. Check this out
https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/209229-amazing-360-degree-vertical-grow.html
dude yielded 1/2 lb. with a 600 watt and second time around .97 lb. holy moly. Cost about $2000 for the set up
No offense, but a pound off of a 600 isn't mind-blowing at all and is certainly achievable with a standard grow.

And saying that a 1000 watter is a waste of money would probably be argued by more then a few people here, including myself.

Also, as the OP probably doesn't have that much growing experience (based on the fact that he has to ask what others would do with his budget as opposed to knowing himself), I probably wouldn't recommend learning how to grow weed in a rotating drum.

Just doesn't seem like the best idea, know what I'm saying?

Well lets just say ive been growing for a while just nothing more than 10 plants lol. The huge difference is kinda to much for me to think about alone.

Yea that circle grow deal was already brought up to me. To many moving parts....

Well now your making me want to bloom and veg. Should i build my own tents or do u have a place suggested.:leaf:
