My First Grow

I have five plants going in my backyard. The thick one is Purple from Ceres seeds. The two small ones are from bagseed, and reek like skunk. And the two tall ones are sour diesel clones, that are 10 ft tall. They will not finish in time and most likely be picked premature. Any ideas on how much longer for the purple, its producing so many trichs and should get between 8-12 ozs. Any ideas what strain the bagseed could be?

Well the purple's buds are getting huge. I have almost all of the branches tied to the main stem. Now the whole plant started to lean. I tied it to two wooden stakes. On one of the small bagseed plants all of the calyxes have turned completely purple, looks awesome. The other small bagseed plant has the strongest skunk smell of all my plants, it stinks from 15ft away. The two clones are 10 ft and finally growing some decent buds. I hope I can leave them out until early november, and even then they will only get 8wks tops. I had to cut off one branch from the purple, because there was a little bud rot or mold. It was a kind of purple/grey color and had sandy looking stuff on it. After cutting branch I realized the plant should be ready in two weeks. I got close to a half oz off of the one branch. It is very sticky, but not a ton of smell to it. I cut out the rotten bud, and so far haven't seen any more. The weather right now is TERRIBLE in michigan. Rain Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday with highs in the fifties and lows in the forties. Wind gusts up to 60 mph Today and Tuesday. I am so worried about mold, but cant go check on the plants until Wednesday. Hopefully the wind is strong enough to keep the mold away, but not so strong to knock my plants over. Wish me luck, will post pics of the branch and plants later tonight.

Well when I went up on Wed(glad I did) I found the big purple plant snapped in half. The cola was just hanging, it was like someone broke its neck. The clones had to be tied up, and even until Sunday, one of them is still leaning a lot and a few branches died in the frost. They just turned black and the stem was falling apart. I cut them off. The two bagseed plants are still growing, I had to tie one up(we had 60mph winds). I'll pick those between this friday or next friday. They should be just right, nice and stinky. I picked the purple. It was about ten days earlier than I would have liked, but did have maybe 10% amber trics and overall I am happy with it. I got a little less than I was estimating, but still have over 6oz dry. Here are pics of it hanging in my closet. It took me almost 8hrs to trim(I suck).Well my first grow is almost over, and I have learned a lot. Next year can't come fast enough. Enjoy the pics

Here are new pics of the bagseed plants. They had beautiful colors and a great skunky smell. The two plants will only get about 1-1.5oz total. They could have used about two more weeks, but the weather is just too bad. The clones are still in, but they need 6 more weeks and have little chance of finishing.

The clones are still in the ground, they are kind of dying, but the buds are still trying to finish. It has a great smell to it, and the buds are starting to get bigger and stickier. I hope to leave it in for two more weeks. This plants just don't want to stand up though. I think on one of the plants since the top cola has been leaning so steadily that the side branches have actually become the main cola, kind of like when you lst. Here are some pics and also a pic of each of the three types I have dried.

hah that is wicked hope ur efforts with the diesel pay off, u been checkin for bud rot?
Yeah, I haven't seen any on the buds, but I had to cut of one branches off because the stem was shredding apart. The weather was pretty bad the last two days in Michigan, but it is actually supposed to warm up some this coming week. Maybe pick on the 15th, unless the weather holds up

Finally some nice weather! My harvest date has again been pushed back, I am now shooting for Nov. 20th-22nd. A few months ago I told myself, "you'll be fine, you just have to let the plants go until about November 20th and that will be 11 wks flowering" This date started to become pretty unrealistic and because of weather I had to pick my other three plants in October, but here we are in November and this date is becoming realistic. The plants are really bulking up now, I'm thinking between the two plants to get about an Lb. About one month ago I was convinced I would yield nothing from these two plants. Only time will tell

I wish I had some new pics, I forgot to bring my camera last weekend. I'll have new ones next week. It is so funny to see these beasts standing tall, since all of the other plants and trees are so bare. My neighbor can definitely see my secret now if he looks close enough. If I pull on ANY fan leaf it comes right off, plant is definitely reaching the end of her career.

Well I picked the last two plants this weekend. I would have liked to let them grow for one more week but I needed my friends to help trim and they were busy next weekend. These two plants turned out so much better than I thought they would, since they started flowering so late I kind of wrote them off around mid sept.. The buds have a sweet oily smell to them. Most of the calyxes turned a really nice color purple from the cold. The buds may be a bit thin, but they are covered in crystals. I think I'll yield over a LB from these two plants. Trimming was hell, there was four of us and it still took just over 8 hrs, not including breaks. Well I now have my first successful outdoor grow completed and couldn't be happier with the results.
