That's a serious hermie there - it would be hard to keep any pollen sacs from opening on that one. Yeah, the bud will still be smokable, but if left in with your other plant, it'll pollinate her, too.Separate your female from that hermie ASAP, or it's going to pollinate your female and they'll both be screwed.
Your hermie will grow weed still, it won't be that great, and it'll have lots of seeds in it - but smoke nonetheless.
Crap, I hate to waste something that could be smokable. I noticed long things growing, like bananas. That's a serious hermie there - it would be hard to keep any pollen sacs from opening on that one. You could still throw that hermie in your hash pile - won't get a lot because it's so young, but better than nothing. You don't want those seeds - seeds from a self pollinating hermie will all be hermie.Well, I chopped down that hermie. Like I said, I don't have room to seperate.
This is all related to that shotglass grow. My 1st one was male. Then I did 4 at once, two were male, then I thought I had two female. Now I have one female....God I hope it stays female. I might transplant it to a larger pot, scrap the shotglass grow, just to hopefully produce a higher yield. It is in flowering stage already and I don't want to shock it.
OOOOOoohhh! You could still throw that hermie in your hash pile - won't get a lot because it's so young, but better than nothing. You don't want those seeds - seeds from a self pollinating hermie will all be hermie.
Ya know, I'm not 100% sure on that, I would think not because the pollen has to be mature before it can do it's job - but I don't know that I would risk it. Have you looked at the Gumby method for hash? You can take the freshly cut plant (and any trim) and throw it right into the freezer, to be kept until you're ready to make it.EDIT: If I have this little plant drying first, hanging in a box in a closet in the same room, can the drying process somehow release pollen and pollinate the remaining female?
It seems like a good method, most likely what I'll try...but until I get some more trimmings together, should I just throw the un-dried plant in a plastic bag in the freezer?Ya know, I'm not 100% sure on that, I would think not because the pollen has to be mature before it can do it's job - but I don't know that I would risk it.
