How long should you veg for?

My plant is like 17 days old now, so I was wondering how long I should veg it for?

I'm thinking 1 month? 31 days?

What do you guys think?

i flower for 14 weeks so i veg for 14 weeeks

It's sitting on a shelf by itself, and it has a maximum vertical height of at least 3 or 4 feet...
I'm growing it because I want weed, so as much as possible would be nice.

Space to grow is wats most important, next to that is how ya plan on utilizing that space. Regardless, ya dont wanna flower b4 the 3rd node (I rec waiting til the 5th if poss)
Nodes are the spots that ya see in my attached pic where the stems are growing out from the stalk. The space in between these spots are known as internodes

My plant has 4 nodes now, and the 5th one is pretty much developed, and there is a start of a 6th one.

What sort of grow are ya doin? If ya throw her into flower @ about 1'-4" (16"), she should do ya good!

CFL grow. She has x2 42 Watt CFLs, and x2 26 Watt CFLs.
She is growing nicely.

I got too high and lost my tape measure somewhere, but she's getting there.

I hope its a female anyway, unknown bagseed..

3 to 4 feet is not much vertical space, and since you're growing with CFLs I would start flowering now if I were you.

well if you have 36 to 48 inches to work with, and since we dont know how tall it is right now......since you lost your tape measure
i'd say if its under 12" then top it and let it veg for another 30 days or till its about 20" tall then flower
sunlight thru a window? or HID?

clone it and put in to flowering and you will know if its a female

I flower at a minimum of 12". My plants grow to about 3-4 1/2 ft depending upon strain at between 2-3 oz each but I have space issues so I must work within thier confines.

I will be expanding soon though!
