Yep - totally. I find myself shopping around in stores for no reason. Just because I am not ready to head home yet, or I am bored, or for some reason I think I will find some magic find that I need... it always turns into some crap that sits in a box and never gets used then trashed or sold in a garage sale... It's insane how we think we need shit. The commercials for Home Shopping network are the best, the song goes " Something for me, something for you, or just because I need something to do " so blatant and true..i AM amsterdam.
i have recently come to realize that happiness is within myself. regardless of what i own. i've always known this, i think it just got lost for awhile. it was fun while it lasted. there is some really cool shit out there. but it all just turns to trash in the end. dig another landfill.
what will happen to ALL of the lead tainted products recalled? no ones mentioned that. in fact it's old news now yet everyday more and more products are put on the list. did Jr. really need that lead coated toy cell phone? he is only 2.
I purchased an SUV for the snowboard season this last winter --- I could have afforded a new Hummer if I wanted to... I chose a run down Isuzu that just needed a starter and tags and this $1400 POS made it to the top of the mountain everytime... $40,000 SUV or $1900 ($1400 and some parts) and some elbow grease and a little sense of pride and I'm rocking with the rest of em... I would feel like an idiot in the Hummer anyway, the Isuzu is more my style I guess...
