Wasted Potential. Tell me your daignosis!

I have four plants and they are going on their third week of life now. First week and a half was smooth sailing and two seemed to develop a lot faster than the others. Now I'm starting to develop yellowing and color loss on the some of the bottom leaves of all the plants. The two that developed the fastest are feeling it the worst and the leaves that developed the yellow are starting to crack and break. I have a problem of some gnats and will be taking care of that soon, but I doubt that is the reason of the problem. The two faster developing ones grew into really bushy plants, but are starting to droop a little already and one of them has really rough/hard leaves that are extremely rigid. Tell me what you guys think and all the help would be greatly appreciated.

well sticky, wat lights u using, and soil??

how far r the lights?

got nutes? did u start them??

they do look bad on the bootoms.
do they touch the soil (leaves)????

I'm using about 8 cfl's per plant with 4 daylight ones and 4 soft white ones. Black Gold soil with a little blood meal mixed in. Haven't started nutes yet. And yes the leaves are touching the soil right now. I'm gonna transplant once I finalize my exhaust set up.

how often are you watering? whats your temps like?
i don't add much water, but maybe once every two days then i wait till about a inch down is dry and i water them again. I overwatered them once and since then I've been using only about 8 oz of water per plant. and misting the top if it dries out before all the water is gone. my temps are always around 77 to 82

the discloration in my opinion might b due to the leaves touchin the soil and the nutes that r in the soil r burning them. my cotyledonswere doin it on my indica in my avatar pik

that could be very possible because only the lower leaves seem to be turning yellow. I'll try push some of the dirty away around the main stem.

...stop spraying the leaves while the lights are on, the water works like a mag and burns the leaves.... and wait until the plant is all the way dry before watering. MJ is drought tolerant, therefore, letting them dry out all the way until the leaves begin to wilt is a much better method then dig'n your finger into the soil disturb'n the roots...unsted of worring about the moister level 1 inch deep, you should be concerned about the very bottom of the pot drying out. The roots at the bottom of the plant are the ones being drowned,in my opinion, you are still overwatering your plant...follow this link to see overwatered plants like yours. The pictures on the right are folders containing pictures of neglected plants. http://www.ganjaguerrilla.net/

...try this, once the plant is watered/ferterlized...start a count of the days it takes for the plant to dry and wilt. Take a mental note of this, and the trick is to water the plant the day before they start to wilt. MJ needs to dry out because the roots need air....too much water = dead plant...too less water = a thirsty plant that lives. Good luck bud.
