i also grow in fox farm, ocean forest to be exact, and my P.H. is always anywhere from 5.9 to 6.9 and i use advanced nutrients sensi grow and bloom a&b and i have never hade any problems.
most people say 5.8 is where u wanna be at with nutes, but my ph is almost always at 6.0-6.5 and i have hade no problems what so every.
the best thing to do is just try it whatever your p.h. is at now at check ur plants closely for any signs of stress or burn or whatever.

thats the exact dirt im using and i just put the babies under my 1000 watt mh bulb about 7 feet away. i have a simple ph tester right now and i dnt even know how to use it i put the dirt in the tube and then put a couple drops on the dirt and its suppose to turn a color to be able to determine the ph but im not seein it? anyone used it b4

I'm pretty sure what you have there is meant to test water Ph, which is ok. What you need to do is to collect some of the runoff from when you water your plants, you know the stuff that seeps through the little holes, and put that in the vial, add the drops, then compare it to the colors on the bottle. You can also buy a very simple soil Ph tester for about 20 bucks, if you are buying the FF soil and nutes from a brick and mortar place it's pretty much a guarantee they sell them.
thanx for all the input im guna try that and no i was getting all the materails from a local hydroponics store. they had a ph tester that i just stick in the dirt but i had to buy sum calibrating liquid and it was guna cost about 100 bux so i gota wait on it. and i have been using olivias cloning solution for the nutes but im guna switch em up pretty soon. i just cant decide on which nutes to use there were some fox farm nutes but there were organic and i wasnt sure if those were guna b that good. i also have the mh bulb running and the i havent had the ducting set up yet but i have a 6 inch inline fan running to it.. anyone heard of an icebox if so r they useful

Where are you venting your air? From what I know the icebox cools the air as your fan passes it along to your exhaust duct, which I would think is only necessary if you are venting direct outdoors to mask IR signature. Someone with more experience can correct me if I am wrong, but insulated ducting should be enough to keep the room from getting too hot. I personally don't use one as my room is in an insulated basement with no windows and I exhaust into a crawlspace under another part of the house. By the time my exhaust hits the outside the temp should be low enough that there is no obvious heat signature. I hope. Depending on your situation you might want to forgo the ice box and invest in a carbon filter for your inline fan to cut down on odors.
its setup in like a closet in a bathroom so for right no the air is just circulating through a vented door im goin to have the ducting setup monday but it will still b releasing hot air into the bathroom.. plus the mh bulb dosnt fir with the glass on the light hood so i had to take it off i am goin bak to the shop on monday but the glass was suppose to harness sum of the heat so the fan can suk it str8 outa the light hood but its just circulating through the room for now
