I need help. First grow. Cheap. I want Sea Of Green with four plants in each cycle. what light should I use to get a QP out of each cycle. Is four 100 watt CFLs good for vegative room.Please help
 
does any one no what strain to grow in michigans u.p. im not a fan or autos and we have a cold short long days summer or can some one send me a few good autos i cant buy them with out a credit card thanx guys
 
I have a question for ya, can you root clones under 12/12 or will it send it directly into flower? I only have room for one stage at a time and I just sent my girls into bud today and I want to keep some clones off of them and my grow room is in flower stage,just want to root them and then I will send it over to my partners house to be put in veg think it will work
 
i'm into the 5th week of flowering my aurora indicas and they're white hairs are turning orange\red, and the buds look impressive, still little though, should i wait a couple more weeks or would it still be pretty potent if i harvested them now?
 
Got a question I've been veggin for about 8 days and not to much has happened it's under a 200 watt cfl ran at all times. I have no idea wen to water and how much to water and also wen nutes come in
 
I am a bit over a month into my first grow and I woke up today to my room being stanky as fuck. What causes a plant to start stinking? I just thought it was weird it never stank before then all of a sudden out of nowhere it starts reeking up the place. I like it :D

you should really get some glade oil plug ins they eliminate the smell, and it would help if you had a air conditioner, oh and the reason why they stink is because when they reach a certain ''age'' the vegitation will mildly stink but when you flower they will smell worse than what they do now, so you should get some plugins, peace.:bigjoint::leaf:
 
I planted a seed at the beginning of September and have grown a healthy flourishing 2 foot tall plant, and it's been growing in soil in a pot on my window sill this whole time. She just began to grow white hairs so I know it's a female.

How should a get the plant to switch into flowering stage when I obviously don't control the light? Is there a fertilizer I can give it to switch over? Or am I supposed to just wait on nature to begin it's flowering stage?

hey man, my plant was doin pretty good for like a month and a few days.. today i turned the plant a big and saw that one of the leafs if going brown and dying.. i was shocked!!well not quite but i dunno much about this n was wondering if thers a way to fix it? i use fertaliser but i have been using it for like a month and it never did harm before,im only using half the recommemded usage too. please help. i can get a picture if it helps any?
 
i have a question for you im starting my NL x HAZE (in growing med now) and i need sure fire way to limit height. so if i top the plants and then lst them how much height can i save by doing so..How many times should i top? what ever the case im going into flower at the height of 12" due to the growth spurt in the sativa..
 
hi! nice to find your post... first of all let me say i ve had a successful 1st grow... https://www.rollitup.org/showthread.php?t=91760. so i m not really a rookie lol. last week i got my first feminized seeds in the mail.... may be i m real anxious and thats whats killing me... i germinated 1 big bang and 1 white dwarf on monday. on wed. i transplanted them to soil... and waited. They were about one inch long, i used a 1600 lumen cfl. two days later i HAD to see how they were coming along cuz it felt like they were taking more than usual. imagine that originally we used seeds from the terrible weed you get in the street here in argentina, so this time we felt they shoulda sprouted already. the big bang had its cotyledons, burn or dry... thats how i d describe it. we did move the soil on the top a tad thinkin it would help. what should i do now? i kn ow i shouldnt have messed with it ... but it was quite an investment for us so it needs to sprout lol... anxiously waiting your reply.... if you have any questions i ll stay online. thanks
 
UPDATE: the cotyledons fell off and the root dried off... i d never heard about not using light before it sprouts so may be thats where i f/%& up. now i have one big bang and one the church left. i started germinating right now... although its hard to bounce back from this failure... please advice on what i ought to do so this doesnt happen again. does it have anything to do with the fact that these seeds are from a seed bank (fem.) in stead of the random seeds i got from my dealer's pot?? thanks again hope to hear from you soon!
 
my humidity sits at 65-70% and im 3 days into flowering.i already bought a eva-dry unit,a rechargeable dehumidifier that uses silica gel.only problem is that it doesnt seem to be doing anything.it says its for up to 300sq ft and im using a closet so i should be ok.please help is their anything else i can do?i cant afford a 150$ dehumidifier and i cant lose my buds,it medicine for me and a few other sick people.i know i was answering your questions and i apologize i wasnt trying to step on your toes.there were a lot of un answered questions so i figured id help with what i knew.but i dont know everything ,although i like to pretend i do.am i going to lose my crop if i dont buy a bigger dehumidifier?im growing only indica varietys so i know they are dense.
 
just wondering what you would do with the equipment i have or what optimal upgrades you would make im wanting to build my next room when my current grow is over i have some of my outdoor stuff brought indoor to finish (5gal buckets post holed in garden for easy romoval an case of shitty weather) her is the equipment list

1 sun system 1000 mh built in timer hood has no glass and small slot vents
1 sun system 600 hps no glass slot vents
1 sun system mh with full spec bulb (eye hotilux) built ion ballest needs its glass too
2 250 mh security lights converted to use with timers
5 cieling floro's 4 wide t8's
5-6 hangable (or mountable with fabrication) floro's t8's
3-4 hydro farm timers
1 portable a/c system (reguler house style portable not a hydro farm or pro type)
1 2x4 flood and drain table with 160gph active air pump (currently has the 400 mh over it ) rubbermade black resivour
1 2.5X2.5X3.5 plastic garage shelf converted to insulated reflective 8 cfl veg box
1 tray and humididome
1 500 gph quiet drive pump (pond pump from depot)
2 240gph quiet drive pump (pond pump from depot) used in dwc previous

alot of pvc and sprayers and rubbermaid ruffnecks and net pots (some for the aeroponic cloner build from high times and this site where i seen it before it was published)

no carbon odor sock yet,or ozone generotor im planning this purchase and using pine sol in buckets with a fan and odor eliminator stop skunk @17 bucks a jar

co2 tank availble but no regulator, which is way im starting this book of questions to you.
i just got 2 8" air cooled hoods ,a 4x8 table 70 gal res misc tubeing
i want to eventully just get 2 1000hps ballest for these hoods and im going to get a vortex type inline to cool them
but i was going to use my 600hps and 1000mh over the 4X8 table on a homemade bracket mover untill i get them

i have a heated 25X25 unattached building to use and the current grow is ending 12 hours at a time!
i have some seperate locations to get clones from but not a ton, i have 6-7 strians of fem seeds stockd
i wanted to go sealed room running co2 hoping winter temps will be alot easier to control because i can set the heat to whatever

im open to any suggestions, before i start to build the room what would you do i have hundreds to use not thousands
i wish i could go automated i know i cant afford it i know i will need a ro system (200) i have well water but i dont use my softner my tds is 550 also i have a plastic 200 gallon farm style tnk and a 55 gallon plastic drum i saved just to use for something like this. i want to go flower and veg room walled of 1 entance veg room with clone rack and nuterint shelfs

Hi,

I am having issues with my plants in the flower room. The air temp is around 65, water is 63 degrees. Nutes PPM is at 1050. I have 18 plants under a 1000W lamp on a mover. Nutes were at around 900ppm, but plants were showing signs of Mg deficiency, so I added the low dose of CalMag, which brought the ppm up to 1050. It is a 4" pvc tube system running out of a 55 gallon res.

The issue is my plants are wilting. I'm thinking it's the CaMg I added. I added the recommended heavy dose from the manufacturer. I noticed the whole plants wilting around 2am today. So I drained the res, flushed the system, drained it again and again refilled it with fresh water. I then got the nutes back up around 900ppm, then added the low dose recommended by the manufacturer. Today, while the light was off, the plants came back up and looked pretty good. I was thinking that the problem was fixed. But the lights have been on in there for 2 hours now, and all the plants are wilting over again.

My plan is to once again flush the system and add the nutes back to the 900ppm I usually keep it at, but NOT add any of the CalMag. I'm hoping I can at least get the plants back to the state they were in 2 days ago, then figure out what to do.

What do you think my problem is? Do you agree it would be the addition of the CalMag? I assumed this would fix my plants, but seems to be hurting them. Is there anything else you would recommend I should try or look into?

Here's a random one. Where should I buy silkscreen? I've been to every fabric and art store in town and nobody has it. Lots of places online, what's best? And also, how small should I get the holes? I think it's called the tpi rating or something. Do I just get the smallest? (the smallest is 420 BTW. I thought that was funny). I've been wanting to make hash and food with my trim but can't get the supplies. While I'm at it, where should I get cheese cloth for straining?

Glad i found somebody to help. 1rst i have a 60' h by 60'w 20'd grow closet. My seedlings a sproutn. Im using a soil mix of mg moisture control perlite and spagnum peat moss. Any home remedies to control the ph? My lts r 4 f32w floros 3100lum 6500k 85cri. Is this good for vegg? When do i start using ferts? And what amount? Any advice on a good digital switchable ballast. I have standard home depot mh/hps and i want a ballast that will light both. Please help. Serious drought going on in town:-(
