Hey Backdoor, good luck. Of course you're stronger than any drug you use,you just have to believe it.

But from reading your posts,I'm kinda wondering, are you smoking pot to get away from something? To lessen an emotion that you're having?Because it kinda sounds like it may be the case, and since you're going without you ask things like "How do you guys do it?" Are you smoking it in the first place to give yourself "permission" for certain behaviors or activities you're afraid to engage in while sober? Blaming it on the pot, in other words? Do you secretly feel guilt when you are high?

If any of these things are the case, you need to address the issues and solve the problems these issues are creating for you,and not use pot as a crutch to deal with things, nor as an excuse for the state your life is in. This can set you up for psychological addiction.

Many folks use weed to de-stress and relax,or simply to have fun, and that's alright. But if you exclusively use weed as your only means to reduce stress or bad feelings, you need to find other methods of coping.Because it's not the weed doing bad things to you, it's YOU doing bad things to you.

Smoking pot won't solve any problems, and using any drug to escape from your issues is not a good reason to do drugs.:peace:

I hear ya.While pot may make these things feel better temporarily, they're still going to be an issue until you correct them. If you just keep smoking more and more pot to deal with them, you just create a domino effect until you start believing you NEED the weed to function-a psychological addiction.
Boredom and loneliness can be cured in any number of ways, but the lack of emotion could be depression or some other disorder and you may need to address it in a way that works for you, such as therapy,or even medication to correct the chemical imbalance could be the cause of it.(Now I'm gonna get a bunch of perople saying, "You're telling him to trade his weed for prescription meds?To them I say prescription meds can be very useful if they are not abused, so back off!:bigjoint:)

understood, which is one reason why i'm going to major in psychology.. to get a better understanding for myself why i feel the way i feel... i'm not really depressed... i'm just finding out that i have a hard time connecting ith people, and enjoying contact without marijuana.. I mean, i smile and pretend to connect... i go through the motions.. but it's not real... people i say are my friends are, indeed my friends... there's just no.. emotion.. no connection... it's hard to explain to someone that doesn't feel this way..

And no, i don't feel "guilty" for getting or being high.. though, I feel I should be doing something else/better with my life
