Thanks for the help Mongobud and Roseman. I got the clones from the co-op and do not know if they were fed. I put them right into stealth. The temp in the room is 76-78 with a humidity of 40(dry). Do the plants look like they are in shock do to being fed with the exception of a few--see pictures. Do I need to get new clones or will these come around. I am using 2 85watt spectrum 2 lights 5-6 inches above plants.

give them a few days, they will perk up.

IF and when they get roots in the water, then start feeding 1/4 strenght and gradully increase the feedings to full strenght over 4 or 5 days.

I have my bubble under the stealth hydro multi spectrum system and 4 23 watt 6500 cfl and 4 43 watt 2700k cfl on the sides. I was thinking about getting a 400hps for the last two weeks of flowering ( a friend said too)to get better buds is this necessary or just stay with the cfl? Thanks for any help I am just about to start flowering so i have some time thanks.

I would like to say..for the record that all the additives i used on the first afgan grow..the GH additives,makes a HUGE differece in taste!These buds arent nearly as tasty as last time and this time i didnt use the GH nutes i used Canna Aqua.But i think that those or some similar like AN additives are very necessary for taste!

You can get the hps and vent the heat, or get more CFLs.

no, I bought them, but I am not using them.

Mine are eating a ton but not drinking much, can I mix a gallon's dose of nutes with a quart of water? Can I assume they're eating just as much grow as micro? Plain water ppm is about 220, right now the tank's ppm is 850. I res changed two nights ago with a full dose. My micro turns my water a deep red color, right now it is much more transparent but there isn't much water missing. Maybe a quart or two.

IF I remember correctly, your plants are young and not big enough yet to drink that much to start with.

No, you can not assume what they are eating, that is why we do the Drain and Replenish weekly.

Glad I could help along the way. Like Roseman said, if the clones are well rooted go ahead and start them of at 1/4 strength nutes, and make sure those lines are at a slow trickle.

Are you talking about the sub-cultures? I'm using Aquashield and GH (Lucas formula) for my Jack Berry...almost flawless leaves, perfect white roots...roots like a mofo too.

Oh yea I tried a bubble wand instead of the air stone didn't work as well save your money

I take mine out when the roots are well into the water to avoid any problems with roots getting into the pump and feeder lines.

Hey MC quick question for ya or anybody else with a cool tube. what do you use to raise and lower your cool tube with the yo yo's? I'm trying to figure out how to install them in the silver edition hydrohut, and also I'm trying to invest in a fan that'll go a long way with my 6'' cool tube and carbon filter, any good recomendations in mind as well as price? 3x3x6.5 tent. thanx

"S" hook and chain...you can get both in the chain department at Lowes or Home DePOT. Unless the yo-yos are cheaper...they just seem unsturdy to me.

I love those S hooks, they help me manage all the friggin CFL clamps!!

I use chains and S hook also. Have it hanging from a large cup hook screwed into the ceiling. I have in about a dozen so I could move the light to exactly where I wanted it.

hey guys how early can i start feeding i have a big 30 gallon with 5 plants in it and they are around 3 days old??? love this thread!!

1/4 dose of recommended nutes when they have 4 leaves. The small rounded ones that the seed used to crack the seed don't count.

For most of my grows, I remvoed the water pump at 12/12 and cleaned it good, I mean made it good as new, and I put it back, only to move water around inside and only to drain my tank with. After running 4 or 5 weeks, it will hold and harbor all kinds of nasty dead roots and debris and really mess the pH up bad.

The grow I am on now, I removed the water pumps, again cleaned them well, but I did not add them back. I keep one nearby, with the filter cover off and the filter out,a dn I use it to drain my tanks, by just lowering it into the tank with a hose attached to it, pumping water into my extra bucket.

Hey Roseman and MC, I took my pumps out so hope all goes good. I am wanting to veg for two more weeks already veged for 3 1/2
but I am out of stealth nutes for veg. What nutes do you suggest I use in lew of ordering more from stealth? I think I need to get some today and its friday so I wont get from stealth until tuesday, what do you think I should do? As always thanks for all the help.


On another note I topped these plants and they are growing like crazy. I love this system! I need to get a camera soon so i can show all.
