funny; i'm neither aggressive nor particularly greedy, but i don't feel the slightest bit enslaved. the only creature i fear being chained by is government. as government becomes more intrusive, my independence and my individuality are threatened by fears of incarceration and the forfeiture of my worldly goods. all that general mills, exxon or any of those other evil corporations ever tried to do was to sell me shit i didn't want. they have no military or police forces to keep me from living the life i choose. those are the domain of government. the only way they can impact my life at all is if i let them or government sells them the power we have invested in it. quite the contrary, those entities employ millions, allowing them to survive and thrive, and they invest in the society around them. that those at the top of the heap should expect some return on that investment is not unwarranted and i can't say that i really begrudge them that profit.Capitalism rewards the most aggressive and greedy individuals while making slaves out of the majority.
have you ever thought that this might be the difference between you and that greasy haired little rich twat, that he would keep going long after you would have stopped to relax? what you label greed, some might consider drive......you fucking STILL WORK after earning that much in that short a time.....
I can't feel your pain. I've always worked for my supper, paid my taxes and tried to live an honest life. I certainly never got any 6-10 figure bonuses or any of the perks afforded to those CEO pukes. Like the man said, how much is enough? I can agree on some men earning more than others, but 600-1000 times as much as an employee, come on man, are you cracked? Btw, I am not as ignorant as you wish to portray. I can read and balance a checkbook, pretty much the needed skills to graduate from high school. throw in a little college bullshit, and I'm good to go. I believe not every man needs a college education. There are sure a lot of fools from uneducateds schools in charge these days, sounds like you may fancy yourself one of these.funny; i'm neither aggressive nor particularly greedy, but i don't feel the slightest bit enslaved. the only creature i fear being chained by is government. as government becomes more intrusive, my independence and my individuality are threatened by fears of incarceration and the forfeiture of my worldly goods. all that general mills, exxon or any of those other evil corporations ever tried to do was to sell me shit i didn't want. they have no military or police forces to keep me from living the life i choose. those are the domain of government. the only way they can impact my life at all is if i let them or government sells them the power we have invested in it. quite the contrary, those entities employ millions, allowing them to survive and thrive, and they invest in the society around them. that those at the top of the heap should expect some return on that investment is not unwarranted and i can't say that i really begrudge them that profit.
what i do take exception to are the indolent and incapable that feel entitled to a portion of my earnings for their existence, the political animals that feed off of the despair of the have-nots and the ignorant who see such larceny as a good and proper thing. this is the sort of avarice that none of us need look any farther than the nearest street corner to observe. this slavery you see is the same struggle for survival that has been going on as long humanity has existed. that we must labor to survive while others find leisure may seem unfair to you, but it is the nature of existence and you'd damn well better get used to it.
Well, when in doubt, you can always just restate your original argument. No need to pick apart another.wish I had a answer but I don't .....some men just greedy .....
Who are the slaves in your analogy? The giant hole in this theory: There is only so much money to go around, so many opportunities to grasp, so many decent paying jobs. Not everyone is an enterpreneur or a genious. Capitalism rewards the most agressive and greedy individuals while making slaves out of the majority. Nepotism reeks in the capitalism system, thereby eliminating many opportunities for the masses. No system is perfect and that includes your beloved capitalism.
just what is the proper compensation for someone who is responsible for the jobs and welfare of thousands? should such a man be content with the double or triple the wages of those he oversees? i can see that you would like to put a cap on executive compensation, but just who should be determining these things? the government? remember, this is the same government that constantly tries to limit your access to the firearms you feel are your right to possess. when the marketplace determines the limits of compensation there is no agenda but what the market will bear, no voters to sway or special interests to appease. when salaries exceed those limits, businesses crumble and the cycle is repeated, unless the state comes in to bail out or shore up those businesses that caused their own demise.I can agree on some men earning more than others, but 600-1000 times as much as an employee, come on man, are you cracked?
what i fancy myself as is a free man, in charge of little more than my own life and happy with that. unlike the self-important meddlers, i don't desire power over others. unlike those who lack a sense of charity, i prefer to be allowed to give what i can to those whom i choose. There are sure a lot of fools from uneducated schools in charge these days, sounds like you may fancy yourself one of these.
the creation of a herd mentality is the point of the destruction of capitalism. bovine masses, easily swayed, are much easier to control than individuals.Kill the capitalist market, and you kill individualism.
The doubt comes when trying to explain the next man... for example... I really can't explain why anyone could still take big stupid bonus but still tell his workers, who help him make the profits to get that bonus, "hey i need to lay 2500 of you off..and the ones that are left please work harder....or...when the freakin company loses money he still takes a stupid big bonus ...no can't explain that shit...can you ???? I just say greed...Well, when in doubt, you can always just restate your original argument. No need to pick apart another.
Well, in a pure free market system you would not have such a super charged stock market where nearly all investors are remote speculators. You would also not have a government subsidizing and propping up industries. These factors create irregularities in the corporate culture that lead to inevitable corruption. Czars are merely advisers, they have no power. Quit making stuff up.Because the bonuses are made by the ppl that hire the REAL talent. Contracts are not made to be broken. At least not in the first world.
Perhaps you should explain to the next man what constitutional basis you are using to judge how much a private person is paid by their employer? Please explain where it says in the constitution that a pay czar can be created outside of the approval of Congress??
Yes, please explain it to us all.
