65 watter is plenty of light for 1 plant
the one at home depot "should" be 2700K seems that is the only flavor that HD carries

what the previous poster said is correct though 2 would be better (for coverage)

the "basic" rule is a minimum of 3000 lumenes per square foot, this bulb is rated at 4200 lumenes and 1 plant pretty much = 1 sqft

thinking about an experiment with this bulb in the future just to prove a few things:bigjoint:

good luck with your efforts

yes HD carries the lights of america bulbs & fixtures but they are not regular sockets,,,they are mogul sockets and will not work in regular sockets. You would either need to get an adaptor (and they exist) or also purchase a fixture for it.

the bulb in the 1st link is a regular socket

The bulb in the second link does not have a ballast in it, it needs to be run in a fixture with a 65 watt ballast in it

You have to have a ballest on both of those last two bulbs
Well screw that lol.. Guess ill just buy 4 of the 68watt circular 1s. Try to find some with all spectrum.. then a white bulb for the 3000 spectrum..
Any 1 of any suggestions on light fixtures.. or how to set up 2-4 bulbs? Point them left to right and use reflectoive material on top... or place them vertical ?
