I would say a completely PRO Co2 setup shouldn't cost you more than $250
Get a Co2 tank at a local welding supply place, they normally run around 100$ filled the first time, and then it's yours to keep. And you can get a Co2 kit with everything you need here Co2 Kit including regulator, flow meter, solenoid, pressure gauge, plastic dispensing tube, instructions and timer. Great deal I'd say.
Course you could always spend a fortune on yeast packets and mix yeast water and sugar in a jug everyday but for the amount you get it's not really worth it.

I had a bad expieriance with the yeast, sugar, water thing. Too much yeast I think....freaking smelly yeast all over a closet floor, sucked.

To me Co2 is more for large areas and large grows. It's one of those things that sounds better than it is unless you go pro and get a pro set-up. Fresh air has plenty of Co2 for a small grow area but that is just an opinion.

or if you have really high temps... I'm putting some in my flowering room under my 1000w when I go to flowering. Like up around 85* / 90*

Well that's a good point but an exhaust fan is cheaper than a pro CO2 set-up isn't it! LOL! I am ready to be proven wrong. In fact today I'm getting used to it!

hey mc or bubbleheads, got a prob .. dont know wut it is, but got it narrowed down. i did spray neem b4 lights came on 1 day prior, it was a beautiful 3 plants, it did drink alot of late, and i caught it almost empty and refilled it 24hrs ago. ph was fine same with ppm. just hung a new lamps, and ducting wasnt ran yet, so i thought maybe it got them burned , but i have another dwc setup next to it, and the plants are equally as big and have recieved same treatment, so wtf? heres pics, also stoked either way got new system up and almost running smooth with the exception of this damn 1 bucket.....
Thanks mc for talking me out of co2 for my little grow. I decided to switch to flowering in 6 more days (5 weeks) is this the process i should use. change res, turn off lights for 24 hours, add 1/2 nutes bloom, next day add other half, change lights from mostly 6500k to mostly 2700k about 75% of the more dominat light . what do you guys think is that ok?

That sounds like a good plan.
Why only use 1/2 dose bloom nutes?
I'd give them a full dose.
I've never used the method of 24 hours dark at initial flowering but I can't see it making that much difference.

actually i was trying to get some support from the dwc/bubblehead group. dont know anything about stealing power, and wouldnt advise it, nice sarcasm though
can any1 take a stab at my problem with the 3 plants in dwc flowering? power went out for 20 min while bucket wuz low on water, ph and ppm appeared in range... sprayed some neem oil on my soil crop and may have dusted this plant (was dark i dont know) ... had just replenished it, and it looked top notch, came in 24hrs later and burnt to fuck. other bucket just fine.... roseman, mc, n e 1????????????
