The Church, best strain name eva!

this is my first grow journal and my second grow, first grow super skunk and ther still flowering cant wait to harvest my first crop. but as they are finishing flowering im getting my next lot of seedlings going 5 FEMINIZED CHURCH SEEDS.
i have 2 boxes nw as i just made a little veg starter box at work.SEE THE PICS(i make ducting and work with ventilation all day, quite handy in this game)

in the pics they are 9 days old under 2 23w(1500L each, 6500k) cfls and 1 11w(2700k) cfl.

my other flower box has a 250w hps which i am thinking of upgrading to 400w.
i also have a 250w MH light witch i got from work but not sure wat to do with it yet.would love to veg with it but need to sort some things first like i only have the one big box and dont want to be swapping round(any suggestions fine)

anyway here sum pics and if anyone want to subscribe and help wud be great, i had sum major probs with my first grow like over nuting and overwatering and dont want same mistakes again.

well today they have shot up, i gave them a liittle dose of micro nutrients and a coupple of drops of superthrive hormones yesterday and they look sweet as.
put a pic on tomorrow as my lites have now gone out and i dnt want to disturb them.

thanks for the comment newyorker, i nw have have my extract fan frm my other box blowing through the veg box as its not really big enuf to have an osolating fan or intakes and things on it,
so i caused a bit of circulation by adding some flex ducting coming from my flower box and just blowing through the passive holes in the box, it swayes the plants just gently so thats good.

my carbon filter actually sucks out of the room and sum ppl ask y i dont just use the room to grow instead of using boxes bt i prefer it this way,easier to maintain.
maybe wen i get a few grows under the old belt i mite go on to do the whole room.


in the pics on the first post u see ther are only 3 plants, thats bcos one neva cracked wen germed and the other was a runt, so i stuck the runt in my flower box with the super skunk under the hps, it started to perk up after a few days then i stuck it back under the cfls and its going for it now, trying to catch up.
just presumed i was guna through it so experimented and glad i did.

will get sum pics up tomoorow of the progress.

today iia m about to top 2 of these, first time as well, neva done it b4 so hope it goes ok.
i am goin to try and root the excess of the plant aswell, mite as well.

update soon on how the topping and the cloning goes.

Hi mate , I think they look really healthy . Hope it's going well with the topping .
We r in a similer situation , can't wait to rip a nice bowl of my own produce for the first time It's so exiting isnt it Thanks for the input on my vegging question i agree a nice little box like that would be great and takes minimal space.

Looks pretty good to me. I'd just keep an eye on those burnt leaves. If it continues, maybe cut back on the superthrive a little. The church is pretty tough though, she will bounce back just fine.

I don't know how long you plan to veg, but constantly adjusting the cfls can get to be a PITA once the plants really start to take off. If you can keep it cool, I would suggest trying to get your mh light in the veg box.

Never tried The Church, or even heard of it---let us know if it makes you feel closer to God

Good Luck w everything~~you seem to know what you want, what you are doing, and have learned from your own past experiences--a great combination for creating a healthy garden
(For nutes tho--as you learned--error on the side of less, not more, & like dude said, try to switch to the MH & keep temps stable, about 73-78, for bushier veg growth (you already know all that stuff tho ))

Looks good & Happy topping~~I think I always ended up topping mine a lil later than I prolly should have--so i'll def watch and see how yours go

My second time growing church and it is supposed to come out 11-1 but I am going to give it an extrfa week because the first time didn't seem as potent as it could be. A very nice smoke and beautiful green buds. Cheers and good luck

ive actually just put them in to flower today, i topped them bout 3 days ago, dnt know if thats ok but done nw,

the reason i put them to flower is bcoz i want to reorganize my room so im guna finish these plants up then im guna hook up the MH in the box to veg with, then put my hps in the room to flower or maybe try reorganise as i go, then the start of next year i will be set to really get goin then id like to get a perpetual goin so that i can be harvesting a batch every month.

when i started growin didnt know as much as wat i know now and id like my room a little different.

any hoo, heres sum more pics of the topped plants, do these look okay?
think i followed every thing right only topped two of them, the runt is still vegging with the tops of the other plants which im trying to get to root.

so heres some more pics of the grow, the topping has gone really well, man i was scared of doing at time but glad i did now.

the runt is just bout cort up to rest of plants now, and to think i nearly binned it.

wish id have vegged these longer now they look so good, but wanted some buds ready for the christmas break so hopefully they will be ready.

totally unrelated to this thread but ill say it anyway, i popped a seed of flytrap {which i got for free from nirvana seeds} into a small pot put it in the humidifier and a few days later i saw somthhing poking out of top of soil, when i went to look closer it was the tap root growing up, had a little dig in the soil and the leaves were growing downward in the soil, so i turned it round the right way so hopefully ok, this happen to anyone b4?

anyway here pics, nt much more happened but they starting to really bush out nw and i think i see female flowers on them now so happy happy.

one of the plants looks a little twisted the leaves that is, and doesnt look as healhy as the others but its still growing and still goin well,
anyone know wat might cause this twisting thing u can see it in pic 4.

the buds and the bud sites are just forming now, i didnt see them for 2 days and wen i went to look they luked sweet as, funny wen u see them every day they dont seem to change that much and wen u leave it a while thats wen u get all proud of ur babies.
these plants stink sumet else man, i wasnt running my carbon filter in my room cos there was no need at the time but trust me its on now,

Looking good man. I would just make sure you don't overwater them. Sometimes those twisting leaves is an indicator of that.

yeh, green house seeds.
id neva heard of this but wen i was looking for seeds just seemed like wat i wanted and pretty cheap for them as well feminized.

well i though it could be over watering at one point but all the plants get the same amount of everything at the same times.

i think the problem now is the topping,
after topping the plants just as they went into flower they seemed allright then i topped again on this plant ( pic 4 above) wen it was about 2 weeks into flower which i dont think i shud have done really but it was just an experiment, its split into two now and its got two main bud points on it, but i think i really stressed the plant by doing it.

ill have some more pics up i a few days now the buds are starting to form.

Im about to start growing this strain, hows the odor? Im asking cuz someone is moving right above me and im concerned about how strong it will be. Itll be in 2 30 gallon rubbermais, with a DIY carbon filter. Thanks for the advice. +rep!

they quite pungent mate, my last grow was super skunk and ppl warned me about the odor with them but sorry to tell you the church is alot worst, but it can be contained easily enuf i have a quite a big carbon filter in my room and it keeps it in there, outside the room i cant smell it at all.

should think if you keep ur grow area sealed and all the air leaving is moving through the carbon filter i cant see a prob

hw many plants u planning on doing, i have four goin and the smell is easily contained in the room, could be prob if u planning on doing loads.
im not familiar with the rubbermaids, in uk.
