Why do you grow?

For me it's easy. I'm an old man, I'm tired of paying top dollar for trash and I don't want to get busted on the street buying said trash...how embarrasing.

I'm generally interested in botany... so growing the plants is fun for me.
The main reason I started though was to avoid dealing with unreliable dealers.. (charge too much, say 15 minutes and then be an hour, never have any weed, etc)

i like nugs and i'm broke.. most people on the street don't know what they are talking about.. dealers are shady and inconsistent..the sense of accomplishment.. the overall aesthetics of the plants.. the list goes on and on haha

I used to think I couldn't grow anything but tried because I didn't want the hassle of finding it or paying too much. it has been a kick to realize I can grow something - the best weed I've ever had!

Im a student at Mass. institute of Technology and school gets very stressful, but weed helps me calm my nerves and think outside the box when i need to for projects and such.

i know its organic-less carcenogens(?)
i know im not supporting any international wars or local gangs
so im not spending stupid amonuts of money on flowers
a christmas tree takes years to grow and its the same price as a half decent bag of squashed not properly dried weed.
so i can choose my high and have a quality selection.
to complement mushroom season.
to get me annd my friends way higher than street weed could.
to name a few....

I grow for medical purposes. Its much more inexpensive to grow my own than to go buy it at a dispensary. Not to mention the 2 hour drive kills me.

That pretty much sums it up for me also. Plus, I haven't seen any GOOD weed in several YEARS!!! I finally decided that if I want to have top-shelf smoke, I'm just going to have to grow my own.

I'm tired of paying $50-$60 for a quarter ounce of very average mid-grade stuff, but that's all there is in my area anymore. Oh, I know the good shit is somewhere out there, but I'm not so young anymore that I run in those circles. Got a family to support and have to maintain a respectable image at least. It's just safer to grow my own. I just wish I had started this many years ago!!!!!!!!

Its 100 bucks an 8th here & like you say, if you can get it & usually its light. Now I can keep myself and friends very happy.
Not to mention my back kills me sometimes & I hate Flexerils ! MJ is much better for the pain.
