Ok
I bought a brand new bottle of FNB today.
My last one was year old, smelled waaay to funky and my PH fluc. too much.
This new stuff stays same PH for 2 days, 3rd day went up .1

anyways, im gonna start watering daily with 1.5mL per gallon of FNB. (Lucas meth for canna coco in Veg is 4ml every 3rd watering ), bump it up to 2mL when i get to 10"+

No run off, yet. keeping it moist and then letting it dry. Im also taking advice given, and running my PH at 5.7, lower then 6.0 to allow drifting up.

CROSS THOSE FINGERS, i need to light a fire under these guys.

Hey, I have a question.. are you using drip rings or individual drippers? Can you post a pic of your drip sytem? I am thinking about setting one up with my next cycle.

for sure dude, its super pro, and super easy to setup, seriously no joke, you can build a 12-100 site drip system with res for 65 bucks. i will post pics tommarow and show you exactly what you need. i use individual drippers, and i have the pump set so it releases water somewhat slow, not spraying. COCO absorbs water like a sponge, rings are not needed. if your worried about not getting proper saturation throughout the coco, givem more water. ill post pics of what i use, i need to get it setup for a 12 site, its only an 8 right now, but making that change takes bout 10 mins : ). grow on brodda.

Thanks Bro. It is amazing how the coco soaks up water. I bought the drippers/dripline last month, but didn't set them up yet. I have a gravity fed watering system, so I just need to hook up the drippers. I use 7 gal pots, so I am trying to figure out how many drippers per pot I'll need. I'll keep an eye out for the pics. :-P

My clones are 10 days out of humidity today. I began my Lucas method from here on, 2mL a gallon of FNB, i am gonna use superthrive a drop a gallon every other watering, until flower.
CHECK OUT THE ROOTS ON THESE BAD BOYS, 10 days old and there roots are more impressive then any growth. This is exactly what i have been trying to do by daily watering, low amounts. In 10 Days i already have some roots starting to spiral in the cup. The top is definitly getting a little dry, i increased water to 50ml a day now.

I water one of the clones till i got run off. he weighed about 350g when water came out, he wont be dry for about 4 days now but i needed a good idea of wats goin on.

My run off PH was perfect, 6.0 : )
my PPMs were 1420 on the dot. Whats does this say? should i flush them all, is that wayyy to high? i dont see nute burn but is this responsible for yellowing?

well have to see, they look very happy today, especially after their watering and a mist. Even my 2 slackers, are going well.

HERES THE DRIP SYSTEM TO:
i use a 264 gallon and hour pump which is more then enough for a 12 site.

rubbermaid 30gallon
1/2inch vinyl tubing
end cap
drip line
spike drippers
and the little fucking peices for the drip line to the 1/2 in vinyl
timer
ALSO: get an adjuster!!! usually they have them their but youlll have to ask a clerk to hel you. This is so you can adjust flow of water.

The key is to this setup, is the ALL the drip lines coming OFF the 1/2 inch tubigng, ARE THE SAME LENGTH.! this regulates the pressure. Build it, put 1 gallon jugs on each drip site, turn it on, after 1 minute measure the output of water. mark this on the adjuster peice, move the valve open more, let it run a minute, measure the water. I have 10 marks on mine. You will know how much water per minute, by marks on the adjuster.

IT IS BETTER TO WATER OVER TIME, dripping for about 10mins a water. i am gonna water 1 time a day in veg and 2 times in flower.

For 7 gallon pots, i would go 3 drip sites each.
In a triangle pattern. O yea and if you using drip in coco, make sure you get 20% run off, ASAP when they can handle full soaks.

Hope that helps!

You know, why are these guys still so lime green>? there not burned, ph 6.0, pp,s 1420 in soil so plenty of nutes??

The only thing i could attribute this to, is i put 1/2 a tsp of cal-mag in the coco1st watering with nutes. maybe too much, leading them to be yellow, could this be it??

Feedback....? someone tell me im doin something wrong!:-P

I transplanted to 1 gallon pots and put them under the HID, i gave them bout 3 cups of water. still using 2mL floranova grow and 1 drop super thrive. 5.7 out of rez, 600ppm, watering 2x a day 24 hours lights on

drain to waste drip setup.

definitly need to start off with more nutes when they come out the humidity chamber, bout 1mL FNB 1st watering with some superthrive. next time : ).

Alright guys and gals havent posted in 6 days, been busy busy.

Here are my girls ONLY 6 DAYS AFTER TRANSPLANT! ITS DAY 29 (not 26 since cutting, 16 days out of humidity) and 7 days since transplant.
MY SUCCESS IS THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS CONTRIBUTED! THANK YOU!

i think this is my fastest veg yet, they have almost quadrupled their height from when i popped them in.

I have been water 2x a day, 24hours light, getting 10% runoff everytime.
The coco has 12 hours of dry time, i think next week i will pump it up to 3x a day. well have to see.

In the res:(per gallon)
2.5mL Floranova Bloom
1mL Floralicious Plus
1 Drop Superthrive
This is dialed in at 740ppms
(I also use this a foliar spray 2x a day)

QUESTIONS SO FAR FOR ALL THE HOMIES THAT HAVE HELPED ME?
1. MY PH RISES .2-.4 daily. i have a 35gallon res i try to keep at about 25gallons and no less then 10. I try to keep it in the 5.5-6.0 range, and i check it daily. I have noticed that the less water in the resevoir the more the fluctuation. I AM DRAIN TO WASTE NO RECIRC. is there any reason for this happening? i am positive it isnt chlorine, i leave everything out for 24 hours. i did leave the lid off the last 2 days and it has stayed the same.....weird?

2.i am including new pictures. As you can see most of them are doing great, there are 3 slow pokes( o well ) but there are 2 that are showing the signs of some sort of deficieny. WHAT IS THIS>>?? like i said it is only 2 of them, right now, but i can see mild cases of it on others, just not as bad.

The only thing i can think of is the 1 day i let my resevoir hit 6.6 and it have 1 watering at that amount. WHAT YOU GUYS THINK?

3. My runoff i have been checking every 2 days, and it is consistently 6.5pH, i have watered every time with 5.5-6.0 water 740ppm going in and it comes out like 700 6.5-6.8 ish. ??????ANY IDEAS???? is this a bad thing or is it just using more calcium, mag, and phos because it is coco+the plant uses it, and it is becoming deficient, i have no idea cause 10 out of 12 have little to no signs of it at all, but i am trying to catch it before anything happens.

THANKS EVERYONE, PLEASE CRITICIZE AWAY!

You are using tap water right?

The water in your state or whatever has very low alkalinity. This is very important for growers to know.

Here is a good explanation:

http://www.kywater.org/ww/ramp/rmalk.htm

Alkalinity refers to the capability of water to neutralize acid. This is really an expression of buffering capacity. A buffer is a solution to which an acid can be added without changing the concentration of available H+ ions (without changing the pH) appreciably. It essentially absorbs the excess H+ ions and protects the water body from fluctuations in pH.

It looks like an Mg deficiency. How many times have you used the CalMag supplement? I think you can use it again, feed above 5.8 a couple of time to help the plant uptake it and than start lower than 5.8 for the next one after that so the plant uses some of the Ca.

Keeping the levels and Ca and Mg balanced in the coco is the bottom-line key to a successful grow. You can do that by feeding above and below 5.8. Below 5.8, the uplant uptakes Ca at a much higher rate than Mg, above 5.8 for the opposite in a soilless grow.

With a 100% coco grow or anything with a high cation exchange capacity, the pH and EC of the runoff is usually misleading. When you water with runoff, it's N P and even K that are leached away from the coco, not Ca and Mg. Don't worry about the runoff, worry about the water going in and condition of your plants. The runoff is misleading.

Your plants looked pretty good at the time.
