14 days till germination. still waiting on the pots/seed starting tray/extra lamp.
its like waiting for christmas over here! lol
once i start germ i'll have a new thread to follow the grow. this one has gotten pretty big already.

haha i'm glad i've built up anticipation in everyone. still waiting on the last of the supplies. i'll be picking up soil, next week sometime. i think i'm going to be growing in Fox Farms Happy Frog.. everything is it is JUST as good as Ocean Forest, only a little cheaper. i've also heard happy frog is actually a blend of two soils from Fox Farms, Ocean Forest and Light Warrior. if thats right, best of both worlds then?

i let the plant grow me last time around... if that makes sense.

known genetics (indica at that) i think should do alright.
just paranoid about cracking seeds.
haha honestly, just thinking about it makes me nervous.
i had a gaggle of bagseed last time, so i had germed 10 (in a tray, straight into plugs no towel or anything else)
6 sprouted 5 were strong ended with 1
for this grow, i have 2 5-seed multipacks.
JUST 10 SEEDS!!! all are "feminized" so lets hope thats more than marketing.
AHH!! i might be mistaking anticipation for nerves... i dont know.
just need that damn seed starting tray, and fucking thanksgiving to be behind me.

a glimpse into my future holiday...

It's like Christmas morning over here!!
UPS guy just delivered my order from HTG Supply, first time using them, and have to say I'm happy!!

10-1 gallon plastic pots
1-6 seed starting tray with plugs (look like rapid rooters)

Now all I need is the soil!
Also the seed starting tray should work well, has a catch tray on the bottom and and drainage holes in each little "pod" might just start seeds directly in there and use a plastic tupperware as a humidity dome.

Nice man, nothing to worry about, thats the difference between bag seed and actual genetic, those good seeds will cracc and sprout with no problem, but i get nervous too, its like handling a new born you kno haha

your starting all 10 seeds? :shock:

no no no no... i'm only starting two, 10 is the only way you can order the pots from HTG lol.
It's still up in there which I plan to crack and grow first. Only two though, sorry the confusion.

I would go with those two as well, Cheese, Widow and Trainwrek would be nice too, got a good selection there

taking a look at the dimensions. i didn't PLAN to do a long veg period. but i got the perfect opportunity to SCRoG this tent pretty damn effectively. though i think LST will be much easier. just nervous about both techniques.
i assume though LST figures itself out lol. once you get your first stem trained, the methods/ideas come naturally?

Hey Shack, check out this LST method. Works great.

You really can do whatever ya want. Bend it over and tie it down. It will start growing upward again shortly. Take new growth and bend again.

I have trained one before to grow along a fence line. Kept bending it over so that it wouldn't stick up. Worked great.

You could also try super-cropping. I think I am going to try and super-crop my next 4 plants or so, and see what happens.

my original intent was to LST both plants into low lying even canopies so i can keep the lights low and close and essentially even (flowering under high watt CFL after all) the more i think about it, the more i just want to do plants straight up and topped. wish i could just have an end all answer, but not sure if given this setup LST or topped plants would lend a higher yield. LST makes me nervous, the most i've done is basically take two vertical branches of a sativa and lay them horizontal. all the training involved in getting a good LST canopy sounds time consuming, and i want to have a rapid vegetative period. going for seed to harvest within 80-90 days (fingers crossed lol)

also.. i too can't wait to plant the damn seeds!!

sorry it took so long to reply, i keep comenting and then loosing the journals.hah

id say top'em and let the new shoots stretch over a couple weeks then lst those branches,(twist ties work great)
and let the shoots from there just climb until you induce flowering
you can have anywhere from 4 -10+ even sized cola's per plant.

keep up the good work!

welcome to the thread and just in the nick of time. i plan to start germinating 1 week from today! next monday seeds will be well on their way to crackin'!!

oh and since this thread has become so long (and is in the DIY section)
i'll be opening a new one and sharing the link here.

on that note, which board gets the most traffic?
Indoor Growing, CFL Growing, or Grow Journals?
