low? Or should it be higher up closer to the ceiling?

If i put it and the vent fan any higher up, then I will have to remove the 3 shelves pictured :(

Will it make THAT much of a different if I raise my filter and fan 2 ft off of the ground?

also, I am attempting my first image post right here, wish me luck.

and thank you all very much in advance

Umm, better to wait for someone who knows lots about filters to respond but i just wanted to say, your setup looks CLEAN! and very nicely done.

I think it wouldn't really matter, but definitely wait till someone more knowledgable responds. :)

Looks ok to me but I don't Know for sure......... What lights are you running? Reflectors? Nice Lumateks
thank you as well Wonderblunder :)

I am running 2 1000w bulbs with the 8" XL Reflectors (glass removed on both)

This is my very first grow. I am very excited!

I have spent more than $40k in the last few years on medicial pot, so its about friggin time I grow some for myself.

unfortuanley, I have been battling 4 different speices of pests and powerdy mildew, so it has been a struggle so far.

But with all of your help, this WILL be a successful grow!

Thanks again guys!

Why are you thinking that you need to move it higher in the room? If you have a (high) heat issue then raising it higher in the room will aid in the fan pulling warmer air from the room.
If it is smell related then I dont think that moving it will make any difference.
Hope this helps.

I believe having the filter on or close to the floor would lower the CO2 concentration in that room....unless its being injected or generated. Then you'd have the exhaust shut down anyways. But myself, I would hang that filter across the ceiling.

I have basicaly the same filter and I've had mine on the ground since day one and it works great I'm sure you will be fine. Plus those filters are heavy

I would think that without good air mixing you might be pulling the colder air from the space and creating an area up high that always stays hot. I don't know if that would be a problem or not.

I would like to thank Calijuna, Wonderblunder, Curioushiker, RediJedi, Magowner, and Mihjaro for all of your replys and all of your 411.

After much thought, I have decided to go ahead and raise my fan/filter up 2.5 feet to take advantage of the hotter air up above.

Thank you again gentlemen :)

To kill all bugs: Move Co2 levels to 10,000ppm for one hour. Everything will be DEAD! (Bug wise dat is!) Good luck

I have mine hanging from the ceiling horizontally! But its hella heavy. IMO for smell u can have it anywhere cuz the fan will suck it out, I hang it up cuz I need the floor space, I got 3 1000w hps in that room and have used it for over 3 yrs anbd still works like a beauty.
