when to clone

About 4 weeks into growth from seed, 8" tall, under 400W MH, Hydro top feed drip system. Someone said they had to be at least 3 months old to clone??? At this rate they will be way too tall to clone before into flower. Does anyone know if it's safe to clone at around a month and a half? I'm assuming they will be around 12" high then.

That's what I thought, and figured around 12" - 15" would be the best time and given my height the right time to put them into flowering after.

Has anyone heard of having to wait 3 months to clone from a seed? I certainly don't want all of them to die as a result.

No, that's pretty long. You could wait till then but you certainly don't have to. I take clippings around 1 month from seed.
