The foil becareful of hotspots n stuff but if it aint broke dont fix it.

its all good. olny half of the reflective stuff if foil. i baught some of those expensive helium ballons and cut them open because i've heard they are lined with mylar..... i dont think they are but its reflective as hell anyways.

yeah those balloons are mylar... thats a really good idea... i would make sure that you find the ones at a party type store that are actually called mylar balloons. i dont think your foil would cause many hotspots with those little tiny lights. is this a micro grow? you might need to get some more light.

you also might want to watch the sex of the big plant carefully, sometimes the males tend to be a little taller and lankier.

i really like your cab though... really cool setup

edit: try to get some containers that are opaque (dont let light through) your roots will not like the light at all.

i think i will get some opaque containers, but im going to wait to transplant untill i know which ones are female because i dont want to buy soil for the males. lol im really cheap thats why im olny using 4 lights. do you think it would make a difference if i re-use the soil from the males if i pull out all the roots?

you dont really want to reuse soil unless you are doing some stuff to it before you reuse it. you should jsut buy new soil when you transplant. i did the same thing with mine, i put them in milk jugs and then transplanted to an opaque container once they showed preflowers without any adverse effects. i think you are fine as long as the plant isnt getting rootbound and being exposed to the light. you should get a couple 42W cfls to put above your plants and spread the little lights out around your plant some. with the way your cab looks you could mount lights to the sides... maybe 26w cfls and you will see a decent increase in yield and probly wouldnt cost you but 20 dollars at walmart for the lights and sockets. they have great wire it yourself sockets for like 2 dollars.

i was thinking about adding lights to the side and maybe even getting one of those 100 watt cfls that have an output of 300 watts but im not sure what my electricity bill is going to be like yet. this is my first indoor grow where ive had to pay the electricity bill so im trying to stay under like 20$ a month for the lights and fan.

not that it matters now, but if you need more mylar, you can go to wal-mart and buy an emergency blanket for like 2 bucks... its like a 6' x 8' piece of mylar... n its cheap!!!

look on your electricity bill and you sould see how much you get charged per KWH which is a kilowatt hour. one kilowatt hour equals 1000 watts running for one hour. i get charged $.11 per kwh... yes eleven cents. i use 274 watts so it would be .274 x .11 x 12hours x 30 days= total electricity charge due to your watt output.

my bill only goes up ten dollars and some change every month because i use 274 watts for this.... its really not that much seeing how i can possibly save myself $1200 while only spending around 40-50 in electricity over the course of my entire grow

my electricity cost 10cents a kwh so i might have to add a couple more lights

Your plants look a little small to be flowering already but if your dealing with space issues then do whatever you have to.

i have 36" grow room from bottum of pot to the lights so i do have limited space.... but really i just want to see how this grow ends up and then im going to buy some seeds instead of using bagseed and veg for 6-8 weeks instead of 2 weeks and 1 week.
