Okay cool. How much is it for a ph tester?Dependin on how close you live to cities/industrial areas that create lots of pollution there could be a chance yr ph is way out ( acid rain ) , its natural water but its worth testing it before hand , you dont wanna starve yr plants now do you ?? ( see nute lockout for more info)
yes sir, just go to walmart, and the little 10 dollar or so one will work just fine and last a good while too...Okay cool..I was thinking I had to take a trip all the way to the hydroponic store which is 4 cities away from mine..Guess I can just go to Wall-mart

Rain water is good for your plants since its normally high in N.

Depends on other factors but maybe a mix of the 2 would work.I think I am going to start using rain water to water the plants also. Is this better than using spring water?
I got a digital pH tester for like $25 and it works perfectly.Okay cool. How much is it for a ph tester?
Dont get the one for a fish tank at Wal-Mart. You have to decide based on color and with nutes in the water thats just not possible. A digtal tester is inexpensive and will better serve its purpose.Okay cool..I was thinking I had to take a trip all the way to the hydroponic store which is 4 cities away from mine..Guess I can just go to Wall-mart
Thanks alot man, you saved me a lot of hassle! Even though I gotta take a 30 min ride to get one Oh well my babies will thank me laterDepends on other factors but maybe a mix of the 2 would work.

oh 4 cities is only 30 minute ride? I was thinking you meant like 2+ hrs or so. Yeah, if its not too much of a hassle, then get one of the digitized ones fa sho. But, I wouldnt spend a shit load for one, as the test kit with drops will get you by. I dont use the one from wal-mart. Mines from General Hydroponic, it came with the drops,pH up and down, all for $15 bucks. They both work, but of course the digi is much nicer and a lil easier...I will prob upgrade eventually myself. Thanks alot man, you saved me a lot of hassle! Thanks for all your time man, ++++++rep ..i wish i could give more
