Topping my 2-3 week old plants

Hey RIU, I gotta a quick question..First off, this is my first grow. I got 3 indica plants, and one sativa plant. I just topped 2 of my indica plants and I was wondering how long it takes untill they grow new heads..I topped my youngest one last night (about 10 hours ago), and I just topped my oldest one like 10 minutes ago. How long does it take for it to regrow?

Thanks

Hmm 2-3 days isnt that bad i guess..but I'm using a 20/4 light schedule, so I'm guessing it might be a little bit longer..

Thanks for the help +rep:leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:

2-3 days would be the norm for new growth, given that no additional stress is administered during that period. The effect of the different light schedules will be negligible.

You can start some LST'ing after about 48 hours, although I personally would give 'em a week to recover from being decapitated!!!!

Me I'd put them on 18/6 if you really want them to grow fast. The dark period is when they do their stretching so if you want those two sites to grow quicker I would suggest giving them a couple more hours of darkness. 20/4 is good too but those two extra hours imo do add some noticeable growth.

My oldest plant I topped grew three heads when I topped it..is this normal?

Same with my youngest plant.

maybe it just depends on what you node you cut above. I've heard topping at the second true node will make 4 main shoots that will be your colas

i fully agree with this..... 18/6 is a great veg cycle, not to mention it cuts on electricity. my girls were alot happier when i dropped the veg to 18/6

anyway, i saw new growth after 20hrs of topping my girls, but real really started to take off on the third day.
