Pantera, Slayer, or Metallica......?

metallicas early stuff was unbeatable wish theyd have retired or changed their name....pantera got it done and quit never comprimised...slayers crazy but you cant hear it all day......smell your death as it burns deep inside of you..its an aquired taste. pantera n early metallica are undeniable

i just quoted slayer....yeah they kick ass...im just gettin old cant kick ass everyday allday anymore now i only kick ass on days that end in y...i just need a mood for slayer jim beam will usually put me in the mood but everyday old metallica or pantera...can i put sepultura in here?

I love Slayer...but yes, they are an acquired taste. I definitely have days where I say I'll pass on the Slayer. I enjoy them more if I have a lot of energy to burn. One thing I gotta say is they have never changed. For some old fucker they sure can get the job done.

Fuck yeah, Sepultura is another great band. Arise and Choas AD are good albums. Their new stuff is great too(without Max).

Cavalera Conspiracy is awesome if you have never checked them out!!!

There are a lot of good metal bands. Iron Maiden has some good tunes, and a great base player, but I wouldn't say they're the greatest metal band of all time. Opeth is a good metal band, Dokken is good (Kirk hammet doesn't hold a flame to George lynch in the area of speed or quality). Black Sabbath is a great metal band. Cannibal corpse would be a good band, if you could actually understand what the guy is saying 99% of the time, but then again if you could, I'm not sure you'd really want to listen any more.

I will say that the solo at the end of "flood" by pantera is one of my favorites.

I never could get into Iron Maiden. Never had an album and have just heard whats on the radio. "Floods" is a great tune. I don't listen to it in the car anymore. I got pulled over twice while that song was on, so its restricted now. Unbelievable solo.

Now Cannibal Corpse is one of the most underrated bands ever. For the reason you said, no one likes to listen cause they can't understand him. Its the fucking music, ya know. Everyone listens to rap and I can't understand half of that shit. Or relate to it.

rain in blood was fukn my fav slayer. i kind of changed it tho. its raining buds from a resinated sky!! lol lombado on the drums . no one was fast than him on the double bass.

ok Far beyond driven was a sick album, but i personally like CFH and VULGER DISPLAY OF POWER. Metallica Has got to be MASTER OF PUPPETS and ...AND JUSTICE FOR ALL
and slayer would have to be REGIN IN BLOOD and Devine intervention.


I grew up on this music, Dimebag was very inspirational to me, as is kirk hammett. I have sort of gone a bit softer in my older age listening to alot of Joe Satriani and Steve vai. also very cool

cannibal corpse sucks according to my ears, i just listen to the beginning of the songs wit friends to laugh at the guy saying stuff like, "this next song is called,... I CUM BLOOD!!!!! RAWRRRRRR!!!" haha its great.
