250W HPS temperature

How much is a 250W HPS going to affect my temp? In an 8*5*7 room? Say it's 75 degrees now. How many degrees F do you think will increase without much ventilation?

I tried a 250w HPS in my 3X3X4 room with only a few fans... they didn't work out so well. Way too hot. A 150w was even too hot.

Without much ventilation is a door cracked open. Its not humid at all. But its a pretty large room rite?
As long as you have a fan or two blowing the air around, with that size room, you should be cool. Just keep an eye on the temp for the first few days... don't want your weed burning without you there

It will get hotter tha you think. I know from experience dude. I wonder how a little ac unit would work in situations like that?

I imagine as long as you had some place to vent the heat from the ac it would work fine. Another thing that helps is having a remote ballast

you have do get a ballast. HPS puts out much more light than cfls... if you have the cash and space, go for the hps
