i know theres lots and lots and lots of "brands" of marijuana out there...but im really curious...my leaves are turning slightly purple(sorry no pics) as are my stems..they've been in the flowering stage for about a month and are both female..i was wondering if they were purple haze or some crazy shit..or if all plants are supposed to do that..i bought mid grade crap...lots of seeds..no pistils..just..mid grade poorly grown bud..maybe i got a miracle and got some good stuff that was just poorly grown?
There are alot of things that can cause a plant to turn purple. It could be the strain but purple haze is not the only strain that turns purple. No matter what they say nobody can determine the exact strain just from looking at the plant.
It could also be temperature. Temps that get very low especially overnight can cause the plant to turn purple and so can certain nutrient deficiencies.
What is this about pistils? The plant has pistils but not the buds so I am confused about what you are trying to say about that. However it is highly possible that you got a good strain that was just poorly grown.
Just about everyone has smoked bud from a male, hermie or otherwise good plant that was just poorly grown. This is the stuff grown and sold by the Mexican cartels here in California and Im sure much of the rest of the US.
