mg deficeincy?

Hi This is my very first attempt at growing and I'm not sure what the problem is. I have read alot of threads and I'm more confused now on what to do than before.

I have an ebb-flow setup watering twice a day I am thinking this is too much as the soil is very wet.

The ph of my solution is 6.0 I'm using the flora solutions with a 5ml 10ml 3ml mix and a mg supplement.

Light source is 4 flourescent HO T5 bulbs they have been on 24hrs. Should I change the light time?

I really dont know what to do at this point please help.

It doesn't look too bad. Back off on the waterings a bit. If you are giving it a mag supplement then just watch it and make sure it doesn't get worse. The leaves that are damaged probably won't recover. All your new growth looks healthy though. Good job. :bigjoint:

It may be something else. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it gets worse. It sounds like your pH is good. Try watering less and see if that makes a difference. What mag supplement are you using? It could be a calcium deficiency. They can look similar. :leaf:

I'm pretty sure that stuff has calcium in it. Are you using tapwater? If you have hard water it can cause a lot of issues. :leaf:

Yes I am it has a ph of 7 I adjust it to 6 what is an alternative water source distilled water?
I have extremely hard water. It was terrible for growing. I use the culligan water machine at the grocery store. It is reverse osmosis filtered water and has a very low ppm. It's cheaper than distilled also. Give that a try and see if it doesn't help your situation out.

I bought a ph meter today and its showing tap water at 7.0 after I run it through my filter its 9.1 so I add my nutes and im back at 6.0.

The pH doesn't really have anything to do with the hardness of the water. In most tapwater there are dissolved minerals, mostly calcium and magnesium. However the forms of both can be difficult for the plant to use. If there is too much of a certain mineral other necessary nutrients can become locked out. If you can, you need to find out the ppm of your water. That will give you a real good idea of how hard it is. If it's above 200 ppm that's pretty hard water and you might want to consider using distilled or r/o. :weed:
