Noobs & + Rep system... + Rep if you agree

Ok so this thread is for those of you who are new... Or not.

I would really like to see more noobs & people in general +Rep
when someone answers your thread questions.

Now I'm aware of the point system that is attatched and I know
the new members have frations of points attatched to the +rep
but I believe thats it's still important for people to show
appretation by way of this system. Thats why it's there.

I also think it's nice to return reputation pts after they've been
given to you. Lets face it...It's just a nice thing to do.

Now incase your unaware of how to go about giving out rep pts
here you go....

At the top of the users post (the person in which you wish to give rep pts) in the right hand corner there are three symbols.
You'll want to click on the picture of an old time scale looking thing.
"the scales of justice" lol.

Then a box comes up saying you approve of user bla bla bla...

There is also a space for a message you can send the user.
You can include your username in the message so the other
user knows who the pts came from.

Well thats it just my lil ol' opinion. Now lets practice! lol I'll +Rep if you agree.

Lets spread the love all over RIU & +rep when someone helps you!

I see a lot of people who have been around for a while who don't rep. It doesn't cost anything so everybody rep the people who help you out. Or if they post something that makes you laugh. :peace:

i can agree with this. if someone takes the time to give and write you out good advice you should at least give them some rep, but to each there own

it is pointless.. but its still nice to know your advice is appreciated ya know
and when you have no rep (like me lol) not alot of people will even listen to your advice

I agree that more posters should acknowledge those who help them. But actually, to solicit it like the OP especially offering a quid pro quo is an riu rule violation and people have been banned for it. Just sayin.

Whats quid pro quo mean? Never heard that before

anyways I like to give rep to lots of people I ussually do spread the love esspecially when I'm helped

+Rep.. Good post and i also agree with it for the most part . I give it out to those who help me and/or just give me a reply that they dont know , they reply i usually rep .. just that simple with me I am laid back stoner easy going and not looking to argue or debate about most things no sense in it. I am here to learn the art and stay stoned . Alot of knowledgable people here and i am a sponge soaking up the goodness of the site about like my girls with light lol. Stay Stoned .:weed: Well hell didnt mean to qoute that one, am talking about the thread not the qoute "I" qouted ........ All i can say "That's Why they call it dope!!! i agree with be generous with + rep to someone who helps

disagree with +rep for getting a + rep (they've done something to help, amuse, or engage...you + rep....end of transaction)

personally, i +rep as much as i can because i love logging on in the morning and seeing a +rep in MY RIU section (especially when i don't remember what i've posted the night before), figure others may enjoy it as well.
