yeah for sure.. that is why we were considering the led's... wouldnt have to spend as much on ventilation and really wouldnt have to worry about it as much i dont believe.. what are the temps like on led's?

270watts (Supernova), 90watts x3 (ufos), 100watts x2 (Procyons), and 15watts x3 (Warm white 5 watt diodes)

that is awesome!!:clap:.... +rep for being the first person i have seen on here get any kind of respectable yield with led's.... You used a good amount of wattage, but you've proved to me that led's can grow quality smoke, in decent quantities.... I'll surely be watching this one. bongsmilie

i'm watchin ;) .... so since you have experience on the topic..... IF price were not an issue, do you like the HID or the LED's more watt for watt??

they both have certain things i like, but hands down the led bud is frostier, i grew the same strain under both and theres a difference... i like the seperate led fixtures to surround the plants, but its also nice in hps to just have one sittin up there like the sun. so i guess i have no favorite, just gonna keep growing with both (edit) also its cool experimenting with almost 1000 watts in a 3x3... i turned a few lights off until they are older, but im curious what all the extra light will do... hps 1k in a 3x3 dont think thats possible but if anyone has seen or done that i would love to see

with the correct setup, it is more than possible, though I think it would be overkill :lol:

yeah i guess i would like to see how much led is overkill, so far when i add new fixtures the yield goes up, i will be satisfied if i can get a half pound per harvest in that 3x3

1000 Watt in 3x3, if too much light clips the leaf receptors
you might experience some photo inhibition that will stop
the photosynthesis in the leaf... All that excess light will
be converted to heat by the plants and will not be used at
all.... there are limits, although I'd like to see you push them ;)

oh i aint doin the 1k in there i got it in a 8x4... im gonna do 700 led with 7 plants in a 3x3...was gonna be 8 or 900 but i need the other fixtures elsewhere

hey guys i got a ?. i just put my seeds in dirt the other day. im only growing two instead of cutting them down when there ready can i just keep them growing or do i have to cut them down when the buds are ready?
