its day 10 into flowering and my plants are already growing lots of little hairs and starting to have a very strong odor.... i think i may need to make a carbon filter. my camera isn't high enough quality to show the hairs.

you can use ona gel... what you do is get some ona gel, cut ALOT of holes in the lower half of a 5 gal bucket, mount a fan on top pointing down into the bucket, put a little ona gel in the bottom of the bucket, turn on fan and place in grow box or anywhere you want to absorb/neutralize the odor. if its not working put a little more ona gel in the bottom of your bucket.

ive noticed that over the last couple of days that on my one plant where all the tops are growing off the main stem, brownish discolored spots are forming on the stem. but this is olny happening right below each node...
anyone possibly know what this could be and how i could cure it if its going to cause a problem

i tried taking a couple pics and its not showing up because my cam doesn't do good close ups.... but its kinda like light brown, oval shaped and about the size of a small pea. theres one on both sides of the lowest 2 nodes.

is it just discoloration or is there an indent or does it seem to be soft in that spot? just under the lowest two nodes? how close to the soil are they?

it almost looks like its something growing on it? and ya its just like right below the bottum nodes... there both like 2 inchs above the soil because of lst...... if 11 hours when the lights are back on i'll check it again. if it gets any bigger i can probably get a pic of it.

ok if you can peel it off it is an insect called a scale. they will eat your plant and multiply. you can kill them with neem oil and other such products. you can usually find these type of things at walmart for around 6-10 dollars. if you are budding dont use any foliar insecticide that isnt organic and fast to break down as you dont want to smoke any pesticide haha!! you can also make a tobacco type tea spray for your buds and leaves theat wont leave a residue on your plants after a week maybe shorter. just soak a bunch of old cigarette butts in some water overnight and use the water nicotine mixture to spray on you plants. this will get rid of most types of bugs.

make sure you scales though. could also be stem rot if the spots seem to be rotting and start to get larger and your stem seems to be getting weak in that spot. stem rot is fairly easily distiguished and goes right along with root rot so if you have one you may have the other. im not sure how to stop it once it has started. i believe it is due to overwatering, make sure you let that soil dry so that your pot is light when you pick it up.

if they are scales you will be able to pull them off and look atthe underside of them, they are actual insects.

try looking in the bugs subforum there is probly pictures of scales posted somewhere in there.

found a couple, sorry they are so large

great info. but it think it was either insect eggs or fungus. when i looked this morning it was kinda fuzzy looking with tiny black specks but it didn't get much bigger. so i wiped it with my finger and it came off but the little black specks were hard and the brow stuff was almost like the same texture as thc because it was like dry and powdery but it like rolled up into a ball on my fingers. so im thinking probably spider eggs
