I've been reading you should have some level of nitrogen throughout the bloom cycle. Exactly how much I'm not sure, but whatever it takes to keep the plant healthy is what I intend to provide. One of the problems many people have is they pay little attention to the nutrient analysis on the side of the nute bottle. Thanks for the replys guys !I was reading this a.m. on the same thing .I was just concerned with all those nice bud sites under the canopy with no light. I'd like to tie them out but my grow closet is way small ! Next grow a may have to build a little out building!FlyinPan, I've also heard that you can just use 1/4 grow nutes and 3/4 bloom nutes fot the first 2-3 wks of flower for the added N.
Right on it is a mystery !I was using the stealth hydro nutes for veg till I ran out and switched to Botanicare pro they're about half of what some of the others are going for and they work great ,both the grow and bloom already have the micros mixed in already. The stealth nutes say not to mix the bloom and veg. On the Botanicare they tell you when switching to bloom to use half and half for the transitional period ! makes sense to me .I too like uncle Bens simple logic keep the leaves healthy and the plant will benefit !! Last night was my first night of flowering 4 plants look great I'm checking constantly to see if they're all gonna be little ladies !!crossing my fingers !! Tired of spending 100 bucks a wk to stay on meds !! c'mon flowers !!Good luck with your grow FryingPan..I've been reading you should have some level of nitrogen throughout the bloom cycle. When people say use 1/4 grow and 3/4 bloom, well, what proportion is that exactly of what nutrients. I'm trying to find as much as I can about specific nutes.
I bought some Advanced nutes and paid dearly for them, and now I'm finding that the Miracle Grow that was already on my shelf is probably just as good containing all the same nutrients and trace elements I find in the Advanced.
I'm ripping off a lot of my ideas from Uncle Ben, but he's provided some links for further study from commercial fertilizer companies. I've been doing a lot of reading and I have plenty more to do. I need to know exactly what works and why it does. I'm not going to pay through the nose for something I can buy at my neighborhood hardware store for a whole lot less. I'm trying to de-mystify this nute thing for myself.
Alright, we're on the same schedule! I just started 12/12 Saturday and everything is looking good. Good luck on your grow too! I'm growing clones so I know I'm going 6 for 6, can't afford males right now. I also took some cuttings from these plants to get a new crop going.Right on it is a mystery !I was using the stealth hydro nutes for veg till I ran out and switched to Botanicare pro they're about half of what some of the others are going for and they work great ,both the grow and bloom already have the micros mixed in already.
