I have 5 plants growing in a small 12" pot, each plant is about 3 weeks old and need more space. How should I go about doing this or should I keep them together and just use a bigger pot.
you already made a bad mistake man. you shouldnt ever put two plants in the same pot... let alone 5. you should try and transplant them i think before all the roots intertwine. just my adviceI have 5 plants growing in a small 12" pot, each plant is about 3 weeks old and need more space. I would go with this solution only because separating plants always causes more root damage than simply puting the whole dirt ball into a larger container.are they all females or bagseeds? if bags seeds seperate them because you know what males cause and you may have one or two. if all females plant in a very large container like tupperware tubs and enjoy your ladys. my friend made that same mistake , but glady they are all female and beautiful.

No, it's not too late to separate them - just let the dirt soak in a large container for a while, and it will come apart. Thanks for all your help.
would pics help, all the plants seem very healthy. I have seperate containers and am wondering if its too late to seperate them
Take the entire rootball(s) out of the pot.I hate to be a pain but I'm a beginner and have put time into these little beauties. I don't really understand the method your discribing although it makes perfect sense the process is still unclear.
Thanks
