i run 250 watts of cfls and a 12mm fan it hasn't raised the electric more than ten or fifteen bucks.
i've been gone for a while, how did the seed issue turn out?

Here's another little tid bit.....I LOVE to just use Veg nutes after the first 3 weeks. up till day 40-45. THEN i just start using plain water and molasses. 1 tblspn per 2L bottle. And use that right till finish. Because the cycle is shorter without a vegging period, the plants have less time to use up the natural nutrients in the soil, so by the time day 76-90 come around, your plants will have effectivly burned up all the nitrogen from the vegging nutes, and budding out with the available phophporus and potassium left over. It works out well. However if you wanna use blooming nutes, flush for 2 water cycles after veg nutes, and only use then till 2 weeks before you cut her down. During those last 2 weeks, just water only or with molasses.

you`re an encyclopedia mate. It`d be great if i can use molasses cause i can get that here. I`ve been searching for nutes locally and not found anything, but i`m sure i can get mol. from any old naturist store. I might just grow 6-7 plants yet

The seed issue turned out in the way that my nirvana seeds are probably growing in some custom`s officer`s back yard, neither of my 2 orders having arrived to me complete with seeds, BUT Mr Awesome himself, Sgt. Sly over there is helping me out with a batch of his own seeds, which are on their way to me as we speak So i`m gonna have a pure lemon skunk strain and a lemon skunk x holland`s hope strain. Sounds awesome to me i can hardly wait

Here's another concept for CFL's.

4, 42W CFL's....and 4 plants.

1 bulb per plant right? WRONG!!!!!!!!

IT's 2 bulbs per plant depending on placement.

4 bulbs and 3 'Y' splitters will enable you to have lights on a 45deg angle. And place EACH PLANT under the space between bulbs. Essentially letting each plant share the light from 2 bulbs.

1 y split holds the other 2 y spliters then your bulbs are plugged into the ends. creating 45 dergee arms in an 'x' pattern.

If you LST every plant to be at the same level it will be quite easy for you to keep even light on the cannopy.

Anyways hopefully i paitned enough of a picture. IF you want a visual, look at my shade from my first grow journal.

No i wasn't aware of this. Are you sure the seeds weren't HIDDEN?? Did they send you anything unrelated??? like T-shirt? or piece of clothing? Sometimes they sew the seeds right into the bottom of a shirt seam, or Hat Brim. Not sure what Nirvana's proceedure is.

Dude don't do this...I have been wanting to do my indoor grow for a long time and have waited till I rented a house from someone living out of state.

The amount of money you are going to have to spend on fans, lights, soil, nutes, ect is not worth the risk from what you will yield.

If you are going to do it might as well grow all 5 seeds you are getting; no difference getting caught with 1-2 or 5...I know where I live 1-5 plants is the same deal. Might be something to think about.

Again, think about this...If you live in a luxury dorm, you must have money...Go buy an oz and wait till better circumstances...Don't ya think he would have instead of carrying out a thread over 160 posts long?
I have waited through many apartments till I got to my current situation. Take the seeds and put them in the fridge and rent a house next year. I live in a big house and there are days I still get a whiff(granted I just have rudimentary odor control).

Good luck whatever you choose...If you decide to do it still, listen to these ppl they helped me all along my first grow.
This last bit was the best advice you had to give.

Considering you didn't read ANY OF THIS thread.

My friend here has taken ALL risks into account. And has carefully look at things from all angles for his given situation. And since your so Ill experienced, how can you determine what his yield will be? And how do you know what he's payin for his gear? Maybe he gets it all cheap from a second hand store. Some people are resourceful, and don't BUY everything brand new. Not to mention after you have everything, you can use it again and again. And are you livin in his country or province? How do you know what his local laws are to tell him that 1 plant is the same as 5 so it don't matter.

It really gets me HOW QUICK people are to judge and TOSS OUT opinions without being fully informed.

dudes, what`s up with everyone telling me to go buy an ounce? a fkin OUNCE?? are you kidding me? i haven`t seen an ounce of weed in my life. You know how much an ounce would cost around here? 1000$. That`s right a full grand. Now you understand why i`m doing this? it`s not that i can`t find weed, it`s that it`s so expensive that growing it makes more sense.

No offense you here, yulivin4, i appreciate the concern and advice, but it has all been discussed allready and thought over and it`s going forward as soon as i get either Sly`s or Nirvana`s seeds.

And yeah, definately didn`t get any seeds. I have 20 nute pellets and some 6 peat pellets, but no bacto left. But i never got any seeds for sure. i even tore up the cardboard of the package to look, but no, nothing. Only thing unrelated they sent were some Greeting cards, which i also tore up and nothing

Hey lads I'm in the 2nd week of my first grow. I've germed my seed and potted them in soil. After 3-4 days I saw them braking through the soil. I m trying to keep it cheap but you need to spend a bit of money like lights are vital indoors. I got a 400w hps full kit for 68 quid. Since I've had this Light, in the last 2 days im forming my second set of leaves. you can worry about smell etc when your in the stage f flowering But make sure you have the cash! So if I was you, you should plan before you start. Make sure your cleaner stays away from your grow. Get a good light for a start you can reduce stress by spraying them a few times a day with water.

lol thanks for the advice mate and good luck with your grow as well sounds like you`re gonna get a killer girl what with giving her a 400w HPS all to herself just make sure you ventilate properly so you don`t heat stress her those sodium bulbs get very hot you know

on a side note, i don`t know if you do it to you plants, but spraying them with water can do even more heat damage. Water drops act like magnifying glasses and will focalize the light onto your leaves, which can burn them like ants, be careful with that


i live in east europe skervy, a gram of weed is about 30-40$ and an ounce is almost 30 grams

Ok, let`s get straight to the point. Me an my roomie want to get our growing going. Now we`ve recently ordered 5 feminized Bubblelicious seeds complete with growing kit from nirvana-shop.com

I`ve gone about this forum back and forth an have found plenty of good advice and new info.

HOWEVER... we only want to grow a single pot, maybe 2. As in 1 or 2 plants, nothing more. So i`m looking for advice on how to grow a small scale operation such as this and in our dorm room nonetheless


Worth mentioning, we have a big, big room, lots of space, just the two of us inside, other than the cleaning ladies that come every thursday, no one we don`t want in comes in.

My plan was pretty basic really. Buy the seeds, the nirvana growing kit, 2-3 pots, GROW THE GANJA. Seems like it`s a bit more complicated than that though, so if you would, i`d very much appreciate some help and tips here.


EDIT: once i get things together and start growing, i will post step by step how i went about setting my plant up and if it is successfull -as in my plants grows healthy and pretty- i will separate it into a post of how i did it, in hope that if someone else needs a small scale stealth build like i do, it may come in handy. So please, let`s all work together and make this project into a success

ill experienced...i have been growing outdoors for 10 years and been reading all I can about indoor since I decided to do it a couple years ago. I am just about at harvest under similar lighting so I can make some guesses from that.

there are many consumables, soil, nutes, even activated carbon plus all the materials for your box (unless your using scrap wood and hardware--which would look out of place in a luxury dorm room)
since your doing CFL I also don't think you would want to use used bulbs--which is some of the largest costs

I found this while browsing the web, thought i`d share it with my mate from Ontario

In London, Ontario it is against the city by-law to allow your grass in your front yard to grow any taller then a inch and a half. If you do, the city will come by and cut it for you then give you a fine for $200.

Now i know why you don`t let your grass grow tall mate, i wouldn`t want someone else trimming my green either
