HACKERS REVEAL!! Climate change scientists have been manipulating and fixing data

The stuff being said here makes me ashamed to be a cannabis grower and legalization supporter. I'm upset to know that some of my fellow NORML members are in this thread speaking on these issues this way.
How can you promote industrial hemp and not promote other "green" alternatives. Use industrial hemp as a bio-fuel substitute in coal power plants, and BAM there is your backup system for the "inefficient" solar and wind power.
Also what about tidal power? It's being used in New York City or it's Chicago, I believe. In the river generators have been dropped in and using the river current (without building a dam) generate electricity. The city plans to expand this system.

Rather than everyone sprawling out all over the place, urbanize cities, lower the demand, by decreasing the size of the grid. Individual homes with installed (professionally installed) solar panels on the roof, donate power back to the grid within only a few short months. With so many options, why not?! Just because we can continue to use this? Best estimates give us about 50 more years of fossil fuels. If we don't do something now and continue to stifle technology, we could be up a creek in 50 years. But I guess the "Oh well, won't be my problem in 50 years, planning to be dead," is so strongly embedded in some, there is no point even mentioning something that doesn't directly effect you.

By the way, stop calling me a "liberal" I'm progressive. I believe old time thinking has no place in modern society. My favorite definition of insanity comes from Albert Einstein, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." So why stick to dated conservative principles, and stifle progress, when it's just by definition "insane"?

When did I not promote sustainable energy?

Does my dismissing industrial-level wind and solar as a subsidy-driven boondoggle take away my support for sustainables? No.

Why do we have to consider getting rid of coal at all? The Man Made Global Warming scam has been uncovered. We can safely and carefully transition to sustainables.

My position is quite consistent. If you insist on being ashamed, be ashamed of yourself.
OK I'm confused Johnny, we've always had what seemed to be reasonable disagreements on the up and up and I've conceded to your points on occasion and you have done the same. I think you may have even repped me recently in one such exchange and I was looking for a similar opportunity to do the same in return. However unless a child just took over your computer I think you just lost me there taking the low road of slander and personal attacks. Good day sir, I thought you were better than that.
I did not slander you. Nor did I attack you personally. Everything is right here in this thread for everyone to see.

Oregon I still respect you. And if you can't take a little ribbing from me when I caught you pulling a fast one. Well my friend - there is a child sitting at a terminal. It's you.

Impeachment is a formal process in which an elected official is accused of unlawful activity, and which may or may not lead to the removal of that official from office.

Impeachment and removal from office are two different things. Dumbass. Our leader for the past 8 years committed far more illegal acts as Prez. than current administration. You may disagree, but he has YET to break any laws.

im not convinced his true intentions are to be lawful and help our country

i think he may be a lier and a thief. bush was nothing more than a heavy handed patriot who defended his people well. he would never have tryed to destroy america

theres so many shoes dropping it boggles the mind, specially when you factor in that 80% of the news media out there is not reporting any bad things that obama is doing unless forced too

70% of americans polled say they want everone in congress removed inculing the minority of incumbet republicans

that game is over. obama will be a lame duck,

if it comes out he did anything illigal he may be impeached

bush did nothing illigal, and we freed 25 milllion people in Iraq, whom i work closly with in my job. soon iraq will be a stronger economicly and democraticly than our once precious america

the chinese are lecturing us about capitolism for gods sake

wake up and smell the coffee,

I'm done too man. You're not debating. Not even stating facts. Other than a few non-independently confirmed resources.
How is man made global warming a scam? Show me multiple articles, that have been independently confirmed in your next post.
If you have read so much on it, and know it be true, show me something. Something from a non-empirically conservative source.
I want 5 sources. If more than 5 sources are talking about this, and all have been confirmed true. I'll believe you.
Presently, I could find several sources, independently confirmed, that man is having an effect on global warming.
Hell, common sense tells you that. Before man's industrialization earth was "balanced" then we built plants and factories and started adding increased amounts of various gasses into the air.
How can you ignore that fact. Prior to man's industrialization, certain gasses existed. Post industrialization, MORE gasses existed. That's simple fact.

Also, I don't promote living off the land. I promote treating cities as sprawling urban environments. Where you don't have to travel all over the place to live day-to-day.
I support local farming, I support local markets, I support anything local. It just makes more sense. Why buy something that has been moved all over the place?
When I can get a better product from someone across town and support the economy of my local area!
As cannabis growers, I think we could ALL agree local farming is the way to go! Eating vegetables in season, is the way to go!

I could go on and on about sustainability and the benefits going local. But would any of you even care? What is the point of this debate/discussion thread if everyone sticks to their guns and defends themselves?
I've conceded a couple times. Especially on the China issue (sort of) I've never considered the flip side. China let's something bad happen to us. They're fucked! We're definitely calling the shots in that situation.
Everyone, please, let's all remain civil. Stick to the issues and not resort to mockery or belittling. I'm here to discuss and arrive at new thoughts/ideas. Not tease people.

Again you just did the same thing. You claim first that you didn't slander nor attack, you say you respect me, that I just can't take a little ribbing.

But you still say you "caught me pulling a fast one" and you call me a child. Read your own words again you didn't say that "if you can't take a ribbing then you are a child" you claim I did in fact intentionally do something disreputable.

Fuck you, look at the god damn timestamp on what I edited and tell me how much sense it would make to try to sneak shit in before you might have had a chance to read and respond to it!

I'm done now for sure. Being pissed doesn't do anyone any good.

You fell into the trap, Shack.

Owl Gore proclaimed the debate was over even as he refused to debate with an actual expert on the matter.

Buddy, the time stamp only proves me right. You slipped something in and it posted at the same time as my rebuttal. There is no slander. You called me childish and I threw it right back at you.

As far as the 'fuck you' is concerned, I'll deal with that personally.

Remember that when you think about bitching about it.

I think the point is being missed entirely. I do care about the environment. I can't speak for Johnny or CJ but environmentalism is not the issue here. The issue is climate change data has been jacked with to make data more favorable to the climate changers. We simply don't know if we are the cause or not. And I suspect we will probably not be able to prove one way or the other for many many years if ever. There are too many variables. The big issue is cap and trade. It wouldn't be so bad but we are being assaulted from every side. Tax this and tax that. How much more can we take. If it only made a gallon of gas go up a nickel it wouldn't be a big deal. Can people not see the big picture? It's not about how this will affect the individual it's about how it will affect the entire economy, which is in a tailspin. Which in turn will affect each and every one of us in a bad, bad way. If cap and trade passes it could seriously hurt our economy. And for what? So the government can expand it's power and grow the bureaucracy. In the end cap and trade won't do a damn thing to control greenhouse gas emissions. If one of you can explain how this will dramatically help the environment I'm all ears (so to speak).:weed:

One big difference. george was fully embedded in the private sector along with all of the lessons that go with it. Obama has NO experience, and it shows. It shows to us and the world. The secret is out. Not really a secret though, just a whole lot of wishful thinking.

Oh I like you, I respect you, you're ok with me I just know you're a liar. Wow, I would rather you told me to fuck off and were honest. You can't respect someone you think you know to be a liar and if you claim you can then again more two faced bullshit.
