2nd try White Rhino AG CFL Grow ***Help welcome***

my plants are about 3.5 - 4 inches tall. Now that they are healthy I really hope they start growing faster. I think Im going to add some co2. I saw some cheap diy setups on here that I may try to integrate into my grow. Will that speed it up?

I am sooooooo ready to throw them into flower but they are not ready yet. I know they are fems but not sure if they are showing sex yet.

pics are from this morning....when should I start seeing sex ?

Is it possible to have a feb harvest?
I got some big house work im trying to do in the spring and wanna get this done b4 I have all sorts of contractors coming through the house.

Today is DAY 37 from planting the germed seeds.

they wont show sex until their in 12/12, and any pre sex signs dont show up until the 8th nodes, I say their ready, i flowered mine at 4 1/2 inches, she is currently 16 inches tall

ok sounds good I'll prolly give them 1-2 more weeks vegging then switch them to flower around the 22nd. I'll add the bootleg co2 this weekend and see if it boosts growth a lil bit b4 flowering

the plants are looking good...they can now take all 4 of my CFLs. and its helping the lower leaf development. hopefully over the next week or so the bush out a lot so I can have plenty of bud sites.

hey i got a "switch to flowering" nutrient question.

when I change the light timer to 12/12;

is that when I change from the Fox Farm Grow big to the big bloom & tiger bloom?

-Or-

should I switch the light cycle 1st (continuing their normal feeding) then after a couple days to a week change to the flowering nutrients?

I just dont want to have any more nute problems going into flower. I want a nice and smooth 8 weeks.

the bigger plant has purple stems....Is that an issue? i thought i read that it was a sign of nutrient deficiency but i cant find it nor can i remember if that is tru.

all my plants usually get a purple stems, nothing to be worried about, i usually do everything week to week, so when i would change to 12/12, i do it at the beginning so like monday, i would flush and change to the bloom nutes, then that sunday before i would have changed to 12/12 once the lights go out

Ok weekends over and another week of work blah.....

anywayz the plants are looking good they bushed out a bit more (now they touch each other) I will post pics later.

I did notice something though.... Remember how I said that when I turned the all the extra lights on that they would droop? Well I just noticed a pattern. It seems as though the dropping is my plants "going to sleep" sorta. Every day around 8-10 pm they start drooping. My lights off time is midnight. So do you think they start to droop just cause they know the lights are about to go off???

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I just dont know why the droop like that and only in the evening time. Then when lights are back on(4am) they are extra perky and damn near standing straight up lol daily cycle. I dont think its heat cause I let them go a whole day with just the AG hood and they did the same thing and I raise the hood one notch so its not too close.

Last question......Should I be concerned about mold on the grow sponges???? The roots look good, plants look good, but the top of the grow sponges are a little moldy.


Like I said Ill post some pictures here shortly to give you a better idea of what I am saying.

I would clean them off as fast as possible, it was lead to various things, make sure they are covered up, one of the rules of thumb when growin in a AG

Thanks Sicc....I scraped the mold off of the top of the sponges with a knife. I do not know what to do to cover it up more. I am already using the AG pod label. I keep going back and forward with the Water pump. As long as the roots are in the water, does it matter if the sponge is dry. -or- should the sponge stay a little moist?



I will be flushing the res tomorrow and will get yall some root pics.

For this final week of Veg I am going to give them :

.5 tbl spoon Fox Farm Grow big
.5 tbl spoon Fox Farm Big Bloom
1/2 small tablet of AG nutrients

all pre-mixed in a gallon of water and ph balanced.

The plants look pretty strong and they are drinking more now so they should be happy with the additional nutrients.


ok so next week I will be FINALLY switching to Flowering (12/12)

Yea man thats why there is mold, you dont use the AG pump after the roots hit the water, thats what the air stone is for, they look great, i cant wait for the 12/12

Yea i was thinking that. Thanks Sicc for all your help so far. I couldnt have done it with out ya. now the real fun begins next week

im so excited for flowering. i work nights and usually get home shortly after lights on....and wow the last couple days that smell has greeted me @ the door and my grow room is in the rear of the house as far away from the front door as possible. mmMMMmmmmm

i def cant start any renovation on my house until after harvest.

I will def let yall know about the smell. I would probably say it will be strong. but its not really a classic "weed" smell so far. kinda like a freshly cut xmas tree...real piney. but that is b4 flower so we will see a month from now if it changes


yea where Im @ they dont have many variations of "kinds of weed" everyone just got regs and just depends on who u get it from. They actually say I got that Dro...and get mad when i ask what kind lol. they dont even know what they selling so im tired of giving idiots my money. you wouldnt buy a cell phone from a kid that didnt know the features right???? So im really excited to try some Grade A weed.

Hey sicc do your plants ever slouch at the end and begining of the light cycles??? Cause it freaks me out every day when the just start drooping all of the sudden. then a couple hrs later they are very perky and happy.

looks like they get ready for bed time or something lol
