Peat pods until sex?

Does anyone see a problem keeping plants in peat pods for 4-6 weeks until they show sex? As long as i keep them watered properly and everything the roots should just keep growing right out of the bottom of the peat pod correct?

This would be the desired effect seeing as it will then move to DWC

any roots on the outside would dry up unless they were in a medium of some sort

But how could that be accurate.. Even if i went right to DWC from germination in a peat pod the roots would still be suspended in thin air until they hit the water in the bucket... how does this logic equate both ways im confused...

the roots would be into the solution below in a matter of days, and you'd be watering from above, and the bubbles from below would also mist the roots, besides the gap isn't that big

try it, find out, see how long you can keep a plant in a peat pod for

Its been about 4 or 5 weeks now and im seeing MASSIVE roots coming out the bottom.. as soon as ic an pick a female out that i like its into the DWC.. its just a matter of not being able to do much until a plant is picked.. any ideas on a solution to this? or another method to get the plant from seed to DWC?
