Sexing Indica at 5 inches? To early?

Ive got about 8 unknown Purple Indica plants, just put em on 12/12. I was planning to wait till 8 inches to sex them, but for different reasons put them on the same timer as my 12 inch white widow and super skunks that will be flowering day one tommorow.

Theyve got about 5 nodes if I remember correct. Theyre real stocky, completely even internodes ( no stretch between pairs of leaves). They are 4 to 6 inches tall with fat leaves. Growing quick, about 3 weeks old maybe if that.

I dont wanna cause any hermies or anything, but Ive been reading threads from you guys doing these micro grows from seed, in cups and shotglasses. Even starting from seed on a 12/12 photoperiod. They dont have any calaxes yet. But I have bad male luck so I worry....

when you put them in to 12/12 befor they show sex its called "forced flowering".. there is some that say its not a good thing to do...but i dont know much about it, i always wait for them to show sex before puting them into flower.. that way i knows which plant matures 1st...meangreen

How big are they usually when they show sex? It sounds like they still show about the same time they would if waited til they had preflowers to go 12/12. And you can veg quicker on 18/6.... No hermies in your experience? Plenty of Females?

I'm the opposite, I put my girls into 12/12 after a couple of weeks of vegging at 18/6. I dont (i cant) wait til they sex on their own. I nurture smallish bonsai girls and they dont get that big at all. I've had my share of males from bagsies, but all feminised seeds have remained such, and a few of my bagsies had vaginas, so I've been pleased with my approach peace

in my 4-5 years of growing ive had 2 hermies and like 4 males.,.hermies were outdo0r street lights and such fucked up my last outdo0r harvest.,..,but the 2 plants i posted here one a clone(the larger one in flower)and the little 1 im force flowering / fim'd.,.it only has 3nodes like 4incjes high and im force flowering it,it seems to be coming along well so i have no complaints.,., if it aint broke dont fix it.,.,
