update on equipment

bought another grow tent and light to kick it off good so the updated equipments for the 2010 setup will be

veg area
20"x36"x60" tent
2x55w compact T5HO veg light
plants, fans

flower area
Homebox XL 4.6'x4.6'x6.6'
600w Hortilux HPS
6" Cooltube
4" exhaust carbon filtered

My effective floorspace is 21.16 sq ft and I plan on growing 16 plants in equally spaced in the homebox. This will start with 10 or so of the vegging plants I have right now being thrown in as soon as my current op finishes flowering (maybe sooner to get the ball rolling and get things set up).

Agenda for future plants will be VEG room to height of 12-18" then flower room, dep on strain. If it is a shorter strain, more indica, with less of a stretch anticipated, it will veg longer to 18" to improve yield a lot. If it seems to be a heavy stretcher, more sativa, I'll veg to 12" and then flower in case it wants to explode in size vertically.

REGULAR SEEDS will be grown in a separate area under CFL 12/12 until they sex. Upon sexing females will be moved to the veg room for 18/6 until they reach appropriate height. Males will be dealt with accordingly (grown for pollen or murdered).

ended up LSTing multiple plants... it is amazing how fast they start to grow once they get here about 2 to 3 weeks old. I am impressed by the coco soil growth rate but frustrated by average runoff pH of 7.2 to 7.4. some run off 6.9 some must be running off up over 7.4... oh well I will continue feeding with a pH of 5.8 to 6.0 and it will come around eventually  or I'll have to start busting out the pH down and adding that but I don't think it will be that big of a deal... I also don't have a soil pH tester only runoff so I don't really know entirely whats going on in my pots.

lst difference

before

and now

I have train wreck but sorry to say you don't have the real deal due to Train wreck being a clone only strain.. the whole cubed T4 MALE SHIT IS COMPLETE BS! just to prove what the real deal looks like

and the yield from one train wreck plant the same as plant as picture above..

damn it feels good to be gangsta

plus rep!

lol wuts with the ten year olds?

our friends over at greenhouse in amsterdam that got me the seeds say they got the clone from arcata, so whatevers clever man... probably a clone that was stabilized with another strain, so its not 100%. that trainwreck looks dope though... idk they kind of share similar traits obviously I haven't grown as many trainwrecks out as you but heres what random pics of it I do have
appear to be mid flowering

trainwreck on the left ^^

well it took me like 5 hours and a trip to the store for a larger res and another extender to get it to a usable state

the only issue I see is that the water makes it less than 1/2 way up the pots, so I might ebb it twice a day. -

anyone who knows a thing or two is that o.k. or should I add another extender so it goes up another coupel cm to about 3/8 or 1/2 way up the pot.

I bought smaller pots for the next plants

Plants and new tray are both looking great. I would think going halfway up the pots would work just fine but someone with more knowledge should chime in and confirm this.

thanks man, yea I think it will be o.k. because the soil is staying wet all the way to the top - I overwatered though seeing some stress on the largest plant.

Hey, Dbo. Scribed man, I'll be around and commenting from the cheap seats ;) .

I'm a big fan of ebb/flow systems. Did you drop your water pump in a nylon sock to keep the coco particles out of it? As I'm sure you've figured out by now that level on the water is fine. Grow on, buddy.

already took it all the way its going to go now; it should pay itself off in 3-4 months then I'm set up for the future; this is a great heater for the winter. grrreat heater.

nylon sock not a bad idea, how about cheesecloth i have some of that.

sweet thanks for the tip doog glad to have your input on this one. i have set my timer to do 1 flood 3 days a week mid day and 2 floods 3 days a week morning and nighttime too much - too little? don't really have time to observe and tweak about to leave town for like 5+ days

That is probably a bit much. I'm thinking 1 flood every couple days will prolly do. It's easy to increase the frequency of flood if you get really dry. Going the other way is much harder and more stressful to the plant. :weed:
