How to get a med. card IF

I don't know how they compare to the others but they made it completely stoner level easy and I never expected it to be so fast. I had it done within days of them receiving my medical records. I think you qualify all you need to have said is that you have pain from the spasms and chronic just means it keeps happening not a one time thing. It doesn't specify daily or weekly or anything.
3 nights ago my legs were cramping for a couple hours, and i couldn't even walk without a limp. it was a discomforting pain but not that intense. then it started getting really painful and the spasms started kicking in. this intense pain only lasted about 15 minutes, but my whole leg felt like it was burning.

ive had cramps and spasms before, just not this bad.

anyways, i don't have any previous medical records of qualifying chronic problems. maybe i should go see my doctor and tell him about my cramps and spasms.

however, i feel if i do this they might prescribe me something? then what, I try it for a bit and tell em its not working? then ask for medical records

the whole process seems pretty simple, i just have a lot of questions.

So see your doc and say you tried everything you could get your hand on already and ask for a stronger non narcotic pain med. Come right back and say no good, didn't work, anything else that will still let me work and not be stoned or give me cramps or other bad side effects. (seriously say this)
Let him prescribe something else.
Don't even fill it.
Fax records
boom done

Thanks for the help, oregonmeds, I'll be trying this out.

however, i read this

Do I have to register with or obtain a card from the state?

No. If you are a qualifying patient with a written recommendation from your doctor, that's all you need.

The clinic I went to says I have to purchase a card or permit from them. Is this true?

No. There are groups or clinics in Washington that may charge a fee for you to see a doctor, but you are not required to visit a certain clinic or join an organization to get a medical marijuana recommendation from a doctor.

does this mean that i simply have to get a recommendation from my doctor and don't have to go to the THCF to get a card?

this seems much more difficult then what you previously mentioned, OregonMeds, as I'm sure my doctor will just try to fill me with more pharmaceuticals. so i'll just "try" whatever he gives me (i don't do pks anymore, used to before i realized MJ is all i ever wanted or needed) and then tell him it helped slightly with the pain but made me drowzy or cloudy headed or something.

yah i figure then he'll try to give me somethign stronger so i just won't fill the prescrip and then I come back and ask the hospital to fax my medical records to THCF?

I said before I didn't know Washington's laws, now that's confirmed, I was wrong on some stuff.

That changes everything. Unless you think your doctor will fairly easily recommenced pot I would just call thcf, They will know your laws and they have supportive doctors. You could try to work your doc into it or find your own new doctor who is supportive if you want to save some cash but that will probably take time, maybe a lot of time, maybe never. Good luck.. I know what I would do needed or not. I'd waste no time.

I was curious if anyone knows if the 60 day supply is 24 oz AND 15 plants? Meaning that I could legally have up to 1.5lbs on me, at the same time as growing 15 plants?

But, when I harvest I need to get rid of excess marijuana as to not exceed the 24oz limit? In 2 months I smoke about 4ozs. Probably about 8 ozs once i start growing.

So yeah, if I've got close to the limit when I harvest that means I need to get rid of some, right?

hey man, yea there used to be a lot of confusion about the whole "60 day supply". If there's any dispensaries around you, you can take the excess to them. that way you dont gotta fuck around slinging dubs and dimes and worryin about gettin popped, and I've heard in WA you can get quite a bit by takin it to the dispensary.

Today its been three weeks since I went to the clinic and signed my release of med records. they said they'd be in contact in two, so I'm gonna call today and see whats up. need my fifteen plants!! haha
