Colorado Med Growers, Unite

AHHHH ha ha ha haaa...i found my people...Danny i like the idea but there are a few that id love to get my hands on straight off a clone cycle that im having troubles finding ...even though i truly like from seed. like a grape ape or (we live in colorado we should have some chem dog somewhere) but some of the real good tasting stuff im told is way deep in the mountains.
 
I have a question about when the doc gives you more plants above the 6 plant limit....does it actually say on the card the limit of plants? I seen a place on craigslist saying the could card you for 72 plants. Im not sure i trust this. Even though the po-po are somewhat respecting the mmj program. All they really know are the regular limits of 6 plants and 2 ounces.
 
Hey guys, northern CO farmer here. Got some Maui Wowie and Super Sweet Skunk going, just started flower tonight. First grow for me, most everything's going pretty smooth so far, hoping to have a nice harvest. I have tons of shoulder pain, in both of them. I really hope they don't change the law for pain. I don't think they can on their own, it was voted in. Beats me though, those dirty pricks will try anything to keep us from puffing. The whole doctor-patient thing throws me off though. If I'm providing for myself, why do I need to see a doc? Is he going to make sure I'm smoking enough? I know what's best for me, and can take care of myself as far as the MMJ. Anyway, nice to see a CO thread. :weed:

yeah man, I think that's bs. A place I went to said if I named them caregiver they would give me 6 clones. Well, how the hell am I going to be legal if I named them my caregiver? They could legally grow MY 6, and the 6 they gave me would be illegal. At least that's what it seemed to me.
 
No you can grow 6 and your caregiver can grow 6, that's how it works

the reason for caregivers is so you can get your meds if you become unable to grow

There was a dispensory I found that had Grape Ape when I was looking for clones. Can't remember who it was now, one of the mid to S denver dispensories though (Between 70 & the 25/225 intersection near 25).

Never heard of Chem Dog, I'm kinda partial to Blueberry for personal use, it's a bitch to grow though.

I got clones because this is my first grow and I had to conserve time (money issues). In a few months I'm planning on getting some seed to make 4 mothers of different strains. I'll be deciding what seeds to buy between now & then.

Not sure about the card, I'm still waiting on mine. They seem to take their time sending them out.

I don't know about 72, the place I went to only went up to 40. But it's all in the interpertaion of the law since there have been very few prosecutions as of yet. I stuck with 20 because I wanted to "keep my head down" lol

Don't be too casual about the police. I've read some stories about some cowboy cops going after growers because they don't agree with the laws. Better safe than sorry, they may not prosecute but they'll take your stuff & destroy your plants, and no one has successfully sued them yet.

Ok thanks. So my buddy wants to name me his caregiver, so does that mean I can grow 18? 6 for me, 6 that I suppl to him, and then his 6? He can't grow where he lives. The law doesn't state where the plants can be located as far as I know.

Again that goes to interpertation. Some say that you're allowed to grow 6 plus your caregiver is allowed to grow 6. No one will know for sure till someone is brought up on charges.
 
I am growing White Russian under a new LED. We have just started some seeds. Hash Passion, Afghanica and Brainstorm.

I went to a store today WayToGrow I thought I was in a supermarket. People was buying everything most of them did not know a damn thing about growing. LOL One couple in front of me spent over $3500.00. I almost told them give me half of that and I'll set them up. I just shook my head. Salespeople are loving this.
 
I don't live in CO yet, but man, I am sorry to hear about the robberies from the medical dispensaries. That's very very sad. Hopefully things can get rolling in the federal laws..
or maybe.. the constitution can be held up like it should be...
and everyone could farm their own shit...would be so casual.. robberies would be less.

Thats exactly my reason for the question. Interpertaion of the law. If it doesnt say on your card the # of plants. I'm thinking it would be best to stick to 6 per card.

When I got my limit increased I got a document that I was told to carry with me that says I'm approved for 20. If that document would hold up in court is a different story.

But I read a story about some guy out in the country that grows for himself and several others. The police pulled a SWAT style raid on his place at 4am. Took all his equipment and all his plants and the licenses posted on his wall didn't mean dick. 4 years later charges still haven't been brought and he still doesn't have his stuff back. He did the smart thing in my opinion, but more equipment and keep quiet. lol

Only like 3% of those who have been arrested have been charged according to the article. So we really wont know what's what till judges start making judgements. It's their interpertation that you have to worry about.

I'm just gonna keep an eye on things and if it starts getting bad I'll take off for the Emerald Triangle, or other greener pastures. Just keep $20k in the bank in case things get hairy so you can up & move.

I like CO, but not enough to visit one of the federal pens. lol
