Flood and Drain Newb ?

So I'm new to growing and i was just wondering on my flood and drain table i am using rockwool and hydroton where should the overflow go to? like covering 70% of the rockwool when it floods or more or less? Thanks

Iam no hydro expert but i would imagine you would only need it to go just to the bottom of the rockwool
